The left thinks Trump caves on an issue, and you turn around, and you find out he is playing the press, per usual.

Now, no expansion of background checks. And just like that, he has flipped the narrative to Democrats seizing firearms and Trump said today he is standing firm on the 2nd.

Notice how he killed the daily press briefing? Now the press gets to face Trump, they get no camera shots, they have to wait outside, and you never hear April Ryan getting a question in.

And the best part? Trump is giving more press conferences with questions then any other president. Just on his terms.

Trump knows that yet more anti gun laws to be added to the 22,000 already on the books will destroy any chances of his re-election. The vast majority of all gun sales require a background check and go through an FFL holder with a form 4473. It is de facto registration. The LEFT wants total registration which always leads to confiscation.

When he had a meeting with the Parkland students and Sandy Hook parents after the Parkland shooting he claimed he was going to take action, he lied.

He also chastised one of the congressmen at a later meeting for being afraid of the NRA yet here hs is coming up with a game plan with Lapierre and the NRA.

The only thing that flipped was Trump but we are used to him saying one thing and doing quite another. Meeting with the NRA to come up with a solution on mass shootings is other worldly.

Still waiting for the big fat tax cut for the middle class Trump promised would happen before the midterms, 2018.

Too bad no one knew what he was talking about. There was no plan.

Trump says a lot of things.

Kellyanne tells the public to ignore Trumpís words and look into his heart.

What does that have to do with yet more gun control laws? Why are you deflecting to a totally different topic covered in about a hundred previous threads?

The press can deal with Trump "playing" them

Now playing the American people is a whole different story.

Yeah, that Kool aid you are drinking has to be pretty heavily laced to buy this as some 3 dimensional chess move. But, nothing new from the Trump worshipping masses.

He felt the political push one way, then went the other way under threat by the NRA.

Without his rabid, loony, gun obsessed, angry, paranoid base, he knows he doesn't have a chance.

Universal background checks are supported by 90% of the nation, I don't think that will hurt his election chances.

We have registration in NY, CA and other states and guess what, it didn't lead to confiscation. That isn't one of the proposals anyway but nice try.

We have the second amendment and a gun for every man, woman and child yet you are worried about confiscation, I guess you need to dream up some conspiracy to avoid any sensible legislation.

His attempts to play the press is leaving the rest of the country to wonder if he has dementia or has lost it. I don’t think he wants to be President anymore, he has no plan for the next 1.5 years. And he has not stated what he wants to do with another 4 years.

He can Tweet from home as a Normal citizen just fine. Trump needs to run on more than his greatest hits from 2015.

The way trump trolls these angry delusional democrats is comedy gold and reason enough to re-elect him. And so it shall be.
