Oh, I know. The Supreme Court has stepped in it before. Most recently when Roberts, a supposed "conservative" rule for Obamacare just because he felt like it, ignoring the law. The same thing could happened with upholding gun bans and confiscation, but will the majority of Americans comply?

So the whole thing was a hoax. How many people had their rights trampled on because of it? SWAT teams were forcing people out of their homes, people were having to find other places to stay because they weren't allowed into the apartment complex, and I suspect every inch of the building was searched under what's proven to be false pretenses.

Of that I have no doubt.

Not exactly sure under what scary heading you'd classify shotguns an revolvers to make everyone think they are WMDs, but I never thought people would believe the lie that a barrel shroud, adjustable stock or muzzle brake make a weapon more lethal.
"Not exactly sure under what scary heading you'd classify shotguns an revolvers to make everyone think they are WMDs,"

"Gun laws in New York
"Statewide, New York enforces various firearm related prohibitions, many proscriptions similarly listed in the now-expired Federal Assault Weapons Ban.[7][8][9] On January 15, 2013, the state assault weapons ban
Any semi-automatic rifle (with a detachable magazine) or shotgun (non-pump) with just one of these features are banned..."

Like many have said, "give them an inch and they will TAKE a mile!"

"Assault weaponsState law defines an assault weapon as:[28]
  • Semi-automatic pistols with detachable magazines and one or more of the following:
    • Magazine that attaches outside the pistol grip
    • Threaded barrel to attach barrel extender, flash suppressor, handgrip, or suppressor
    • Barrel shroud that can be used as a handhold
    • Unloaded weight of 50 oz (1.4 kg) or more
    • A semi-automatic version of a fully automatic firearm
    • A folding, telescoping or thumbhole stock[30]
  • Semi-automatic shotguns with one or more of the following:[31]
    • Folding or telescoping stock
    • Thumbhole stock
    • A second handgrip or a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand
    • A fixed magazine capacity in excess of 7 rounds
    • The ability to accept a detachable magazine
"Large capacity feeding device" is any belt, drum, strip, magazine, or similar instrument used to feed ammunition into a firearm that has a capability of holding more than ten rounds.[32]

You have watched way too many westerns.

Gunfights were few and far between.

How do think those that did "terrorize towns " were stopped? "Please don't do it anymore and turn in your guns?"

"Around 9:30 the morning of October 5, 1892 five members of the Dalton Gang (Grat Dalton, Emmett Dalton, Bob Dalton, Bill Power and Dick Broadwell) rode into the small town of Coffeyville, Kansas. Their objective was to achieve financial security and make outlaw history by simultaneously robbing two banks."

"Suspicious townspeople watched through the banks' wide front windows as the robbers pulled their guns. Someone on the street shouted, "The bank is being robbed!" and the citizens quickly armed themselves - taking up firing positions around the banks. The ensuing firefight lasted less than fifteen minutes. A brief moment in time in which four townspeople lost their lives, four members of the Dalton Gang were gunned down and a small Kansas town became part of history."

After the battle
townspeople display
the bodies
of Bob & Grat Dalton

The Dalton Gang's Last Raid, 1892

The town has NOT had an attempted bank robbery since.

And where did YOU get YOUR law degree? Or maybe you are like obama who not only went to law school but TAUGHT it and was supposed to be some kind of "expert yet, he was OVERTURNED by the Supreme Court MORE then any previous president

As they say, "You can put a bunch of lawyers in a room and will NEVER come to a unanimous decision on what to order for lunch", which is why so many lower curt decisions get overturned and many are held with 5-4 decisions.

So my Winchester’s, Sharps and Spencer rifles and Colt revolvers made before 1900 are illegal?
