^^^Sad but true but there is one other part of the equation you are missing...

Houstons Mayor:

I mean seriously, you have police departments around this country with HORRIBLE reputations of abuse and unfair treatment of minorities but they keep getting mostly free passes. Philly, NYC, Chicago, LA, Houston.....they have political immunity to a large extent due to the incestuous relationships.

If this had happened in oh someplace like Ferguson, MO? Nobody would be putting the breaks on, instead they'd be providing buses to protest, sandwiches etc. etc.

Whats your rational for people to own sniper rifles and assault weapons?

As I said in the previous page, one's "sniper rifle" taught marksmanship, trained me in anger management, developed mind over body techniques in me.

Here's what the Marines have used for decades as a sniper rifle, the M40: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M40_rifle
Down in the history section, you can see that it was sourced from the Remington 40X. Well, the 40X is what I used on JROTC rifle team for 3 years.

"Sniper" rifles, large game hunting. What is your definition of an "assault weapon"? If you mean an AR 15 and variants, they are not assault weapons. When the government bought some for Homeland Security, they called them self-defense weapons.
So, do you want to outlaw "self defense weapons" and leave people vulnerable to criminals?

Well, to shoot deer and human beings when necessary.

To be fair, those two things kill far less people than handguns (the other major subgroup), so you might as well add them.

1) Property rights are absolute, and don't depend on a certificate of need or your approval.

2) A proper, long range 1SK platform is a staple for any hunting. Any proper long range 1SK platform can be used as a sniper rifle, since the only difference between a hunter and sniper is the target they have in their scope. Generally, a longer barreled, bolt action, precision rifle is for long range precision shooting. That can be sport, competition, or hunting. In a self-defense situation, it would be more of a post-SHTF defensive weapon that could guard an extended perimeter, like out to 500-600 yards.

3) A semiautomatic sporting rifle serves a ton of general sport, competition, hunting and self-defense purposes, generally for ranges inside 300-400 yards.

4) Rational means logical, rationale means a set of reasons or logical basis.

The word you mean to use is "rationale".
The reasoning to own anything is to use it for your preferred purpose.
Those two vague labels do not have a set definition.

Touchy touchy i merely ask why sniper rifles and assault weapons are necessary and here comes the entire republican party to defend their 2nd ammendment right to own sniper rifles and assault weapons.
