First of all OP link goes to one of the biggest rags in newspaper industry, New York Post. Am from NYC and wouldn't use that paper other than to line a cat's litter box.

Two, NYP article quotes as their source another muck raking bottom feeder media; TMZ.

Finally did anyone bother to note: "It was most recently on the market asking $14.85 million, but the Obamas are apparently paying less."

So unless OP has some inside information he nor anyone else besides two parties involved knows a GD thing about how much Obamas are paying for this property.

Considering price was dropped from $22 million down to about $15 million it is highly likely number went down still further.

Other sources state: "The Obamas are reportedly paying less than the current listing price, according to “multiple island sources,” but it is unclear how much they will spend, according to the outlet." https://thehill.com/blogs/blog-brief...neyard-mansion

Again no one knows a GD thing about this deal other than seller and buyer. Even if the Obamas paid eight to ten million some of you would still be chewing your livers out.

How did Trump earn it? Daddy gave him his start. Of course he got himself bankrupted about 6 times since.

Good for the Obamas. None of my business. People make money all the time and I am sure they appreciate being in America now so they can do it.

Some of you just don't have a clue:

Both Mr. and Mrs. Obama have made bank *AFTER* leaving the WH, largely from book/media deals, investments and speaking tours. Both are in high demand on paid speaker circuit, and have other deals/things in the fire.

Mrs. Obama's book "Becoming" sold 2 million copies in first fifteen days, and remains a top best seller.

Good for him

One thing I gotta say though, when the liberals push their green deal and your utility bills will be so high you can't run AC or heat the way you want rest easy knowing Obama, Sanders, Clinton and the rest will sleep comfortable paying whatever it costs to stay as cool or as warm as they want because they can.

Michelle Obama's book sold 10 million copies. It broke a record. The best ever, as Trump would say.

It's what "shared sacrifice" looks like when you no longer have to pretend you care!
