You mean you don't want to apply lockout computer tech to items you use in life threatening emergencies? I can't imagine why.

LOL! Yet the Left allows convicted Felons with a history a crimes with guns back out on the street with little or no jail time. They want to take away the rights of the law abiding only.

Here is VP Biden coming up with a smart and practical approach that could solve much of gun violence, especially gang violence and shootings of police. Yet the 'gundamentalists' reject it overwhelmingly as seen in the poll.

Why not adopt and use the technology if it's there. It reads your DNA in a split second, and if you're not the true owner, the gun will not fire. If you ARE the true owner, no worries--the gun will fire as normal.

Except it does not work. And if you come up against someone with an old gun, the delay could cost you your life. But like most anti gun people, you would rather a person die than defend themselves.

This is NOT a practical approach, this technology does NOT exist.

Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden told an audience in New York City that we have the “capacity” to build “James Bond-style” guns that do not fire without a DNA match.

Biden suggested this technology has been around a long time and cited the example of two dealers who faced massive public pushback after trying to sell “smart guns” years ago.

Four things Biden left out: 1. The “smart gun” in this case was radio-activated by a watch that was paired with the gun. This means anyone who stole the gun and the bracelet could shoot the firearm with no problem. 2. The gun was only made in .22 LR and costs $1,800. 3. The “smart gun” in this case was defeated by a man armed with $15 worth of magnets. 4. Considering all these failures, consumers feared a law in New Jersey would trigger a requirement that dealers could only sell “smart guns,” thereby forcing consumers to purchase an $1,800, radio-activated .22 LR pistol that had been defeated by a guy with a pocket full of magnets.

A 2013 National Institute of Justice review of the technology reaffirmed that the concept has not been fully developed to the point where a safe and reliable product incorporating such a capability is available on the marketplace today. This fact was again acknowledged in 2017 by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ Earl Griffith, chief of the Firearms and Ammunition Technology Division. According to Griffith, “Some critics out there would say we have the technology and it would work, but I’ll tell you we don’t think the technology is there yet.” Despite considerable research, including at least $12.6 million in dedicated funding by the Justice Department and additional research by firearms manufacturers, the technology remains in the prototype stage.
Don't you think if this technology existed to match DNA, that you would have heard about it - that there would be door locks and/or safes that would use it. Labs take weeks to analyze DNA, not a chip doing it in seconds.

I'm not an engineer or chemist, but I'd be surprised if a man who was VP for 8 yrs. would be promoting the technology if it didn't exist. I'm sure he has experts advising him who would let him know if the technology didn't exist. Somebody like that can make one call and get all the experts in the world on the line.

You post yet another idiotic post/poll about guns (of which you have zero knowledge of) and youíre surprised that the poll is a landslide against the stupid choice in the poll?

No, Biden is promoting a technology that doesn't exist.

There is no firearm that can take DNA samples, process them, and then check for a match.

You are trusting the "expertise" of a man who once said, just shoot your shotgun through your front door if you think some bad guy might be out there. That is incredibly dangerous, and could be a serious crime in most situations.

No, seriously, Biden said that publicly.

Is this before or after he cures cancer?

Somehow this is more acceptable than requiring voters to show IDs?
