The Koch brothers supported a vision for the world, and would support anyone who would promote that vision.

To most people political power as about winning for your party, not for a society you believe in.

arbitrarily supporting policy that you think makes the world better doesn't matter if you don't know/care what type of place you want the world to be.

What is a country, what are we, and what should be strive for?

Condolences to his family.

I've never been one to think he or his brother or Soros are evil puppet masters. I know the Koch brothers in particular gave/give a lot of money to HBCUs and have a lot of support for promoting diversity in the corporate world. I've referred African American students to their supply chain management initiatives in Atlanta when I lived there.

A huge loss and glad he tried to use his money for good.

Don't agree with everything the Koch brothers did/do but I don't agree with everything anyone does and to me they were not horrible people.

And thanks to DT/GOP new tax laws that both Koch bothers endorsed and pushed for David Koch's estate will be paying far less taxes than they otherwise would.

I am not going to read though this entire thread but I have no doubt that the same people who are celebrating this death are calling people out over in the RBG thread saying they are bad for hoping she isn't around long.
