Yup. We know why. The left is so dishonest.
The carriers are already doing everything they are allowed to do to stop it. Trump is the dishonest one--and ignorant to boot.

Trump is addressing the opioid crises in the usual lazy manner of blaming others for his own inadequacies. The one government controlled carrier--the USPS is how most gets through. Of course, Donny does not deal with details while attempting to control private companies. He just looks stupid.

What exactly has Trump done to attempt to stop the opioid the epidemic? Oh, that's right--he put the immensely unqualified Kellyann Conway in charge of it. What a brilliant move that was!

"....FedEx Corp (FDX.N), United Parcel Service Inc (UPS.N) and the U.S. Postal Service said on Friday they are already working to stop traffickers from using their services after U.S. President Donald Trump ordered delivery firms to refuse packages of the powerful painkiller fentanyl from China.

“We work closely with all law enforcement and regulatory authorities to monitor for prohibited substances,” UPS said...."

...Rival FedEx said in a statement it “already has extensive security measures in place to prevent the use of our networks for illegal purposes.” Private delivery companies like UPS and FedEx electronically track packages, which has deterred some drug dealers, who have exploited the gaps in the USPS’ tracking system...."

“The most common distribution medium is via the U.S. Postal Service,” the U.S. Treasury said in a statement on Wednesday, when it announced sanctions against a trio of Chinese nationals accused of trafficking illegal fentanyl...."

The POTUS cannot order businesses to do anything.

Such an absurd statement would be viciously attacked had it come out of the mouth of a D, but the orange koolaid drinkers are still giving this idiot a pass on his nonsense.

Some guy down the block.....by US Post Office. Meanwhile a lot of Chemistry majors are just making it here...but they still use the mail to distribute it.

Vast amounts come from everywhere - Mexico, S. America, Europe, Canada and the states. China is always a big source since they ship so much stuff here that it is hard to check everything...so it is 99.9% safe to ship things.
Also, China has more Chemists at this point.......

The only way we are going to get rid of such drugs is...for "the customer" to stop using them. For the customer to stop using them we need to have more easily available safer opiates.

Oh, I thought that's how Trump does official business - by tweet? Or maybe it's just a lazy way to deny you're being serious when something flops. That pretty much describes Trump's MO...bluster and then deny, deny, deny.

It's just like his recent statement about reversing the citizenship status of children born here to illegal immigrant parents - even though this would require reversing a Constitutional Amendment. It sounds good to his base, and that it all that matters.

Wow, just wow.

A lot of people who did not vote for Trump and vehemently voted against him as well as people in other countries would be hurt. Not just Trump voters. What lesson do people in foreign countries need to learn?

Just another tweet from a person that is so senile that he fancies himself a king that can just order private companies to do as he chooses. You know where that happens in? Communist dictatorships.
