I know you folks are smarter than that and know it is not a binding order, has no relevance, is just grandstanding.........but there is nothing to prove that Trump doesn't think he has that power or right. Trump believes the President of the USA should have the right to dictate what a business does.
Kinda like Obama grandstanding at the SOTU to the USSC and trying to order them to rule in his favor by shaming them? That's even worse than this.

Lies about anything it doesn't like and wants interfered with... it's how the LEFT works.

Lies and political manipulations are what keeps politicians and government in general able to divide the country, causing focused anger rather than allowing people to sit back and consider the true cause of the majority of our nation's problems... the government and its interference in our natural right to be free to choose.
Damn straight it was. He left out 2/3rds of the tweet for that very purpose.

And of course we've already had the "Orange Man Bad" crowd show up like pavlov's dogs when the bell rings.

Expect the crooked USA MSM to do exactly the same.

I know he doesn't give you much to work with but even for you, this is kinda pathetic. Fentanyl smuggling is kinda illegal as is. And has bugger-all to do with "hereby ordering" US companies on how to do business.

Since when did this become okay?
You know if you don't follow his tweets there is nothing to get riled up about.
Now when it is an executive order I might actually take notice.

Another one? Amazing how you guys suddenly find a liking for government intervening in how companies should run their business.

Little or nothing has changed from the past...most all Americans have held similar views on much of this for decades. In fact, the GOP was much more into "complete free trade and outsourcing" due to their praying at the altar of profit and whatever the corporatists say.

The Dems realize the way of the world...and it has always been trade, but they believe in mitigating problems as with the "coal deal". That is, accept that coal is dead and retrain and build up alternatives.

.

I'd say that both 'Republicans' and 'Democrats' have changed, people in the US are re-sorting themselves along new party lines. If you want to side with the crazy people, knock yerself out.

It's about time. Personally, I'm in favor of a Republican that acts in US national interests but also can hold the possibility of some forms of legal abortion, weed-smoking, and driving down health costs in their point little heads. I see it going that way.

The Democrats are welcome to mass immigration, men in dresses, some urban professional whites, people on the public dole, and socialist college students.

It's about heads up in terms of numbers, but that's always the case when you market a product.

Waldo, don't make a fool of yourself. The US as a whole was into outsourcing and global supply chains since the 80's - Reagan having put it into overdrive and actually made it profitable for offshoring.

That is what Free Trade is all about - and most ALL parties and Americans accept the basics of it. If one does not, they don't understand that we simply could not survive anywhere near at the level we do since so many things are not made here...nor can they even be with domestic resources.

Basically, most people who know things accept reality. Those who do not think somehow chaos and recession and pain (for all but themselves!) is going to magically improve things.

"hereby ordered", that doesn't leave much room for interpretation. Did US industry get nationalized while I wasn't looking?

Haha, Trump is like a 3 foot tall General, all bark, no bite. He would love to be just like any of the 3rd world Dictators he drools over.

He gets funnier every day. I sure am going to miss him when he is gone and things return to normal.

Yup. We know why. The left is so dishonest.
Why do you hate capitalism, Waldo?
