She's the only thing currently standing in the way of our country becoming a full-blown fundamentalist Christian theocracy. She is the kind of patriot we need right now. Hopefully she can hang on until Trump is out of office.

From linked OP:

"Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has completed radiation therapy for a cancerous tumor on her pancreas and there is no evidence of the disease remaining, the Supreme Court said Friday.

The court said in a statement that a biopsy performed July 31 confirmed a localized malignant tumor. Ginsburg, 86, underwent a three-week course of radiation therapy and as part of her treatment had a bile duct stent placed, it said. The court said Ginsburg “tolerated treatment well” and does not need any additional treatment but will continue to have periodic blood tests and scans.

The tumor was “treated definitively and there is no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body,” the court said."
Because I can?

And I'm literally following the lead of most ever major media outlet headline that refers to this current cancer go around in the present tense.

The pancreas is a circulatory organ. That means that it's localized like they said is impossible. It's also one of the deadliest if not the deadliest cancer. Ask Swayze, Michael Landon, Jobs .... oh yea you can't they all died. Radiation will not kill that cancer and they're obviously not doing chemo which is proper for a 85 year old. She needs to get her affairs in order.

She had pancreatic cancer 10 years ago.

It didn't kill her then ... I doubt it will kill her now.

I don't agree with her politics, but I don't wish her dead ... what I am is totally amazed by how she takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. It's amazeballs.

What part of "no evidence of disease" do you not understand?

NED is standard oncology terminology.

She's lived a very full and well taken care of life, it's time for her to do what's best for herself and the country and step down. She needs to spend what little time she has left with her family, not standing in the way of progress for 300 million Americans.

Standing in the way of progress...you mean standing in the way of GOP efforts to roll back civil rights to the 1950s?

Nobody is even trying to roll back any civil rights, you know that's just a lie.

Rolling back marriage equality and a woman's right to choose are a core component of the GOP's platform and are a major reason conservatives are so excited for Trump to pick a replacement for RBG.

It does bring up the question of whether she should keep the gig if she's in a coma at hospice.

I'm having a mental picture of Ginsburg on some sort of breathing machine, brain flatlined, with Pelosi keeping the doctors out of the room. It's like a kind of historical drama (or a Blackadder episode) concerning papal succession.
