Jean Cramer

I'm still having trouble picking my jaw up from the floor.

Later, she's interviewed by a news reporter:

TimesHerald

Very ignorant and uncalled for, but remember when Ray Nagin said after Katrina that he wanted to ensure New Orleans remained a "chocolate city", or when many Hispanic activists and Dreamers openly take pride in Reconquista and the growth of the Latin race in America?

Good for her. And shame on anyone who thinks there's something wrong with that.

Ignorant? You can't be serious. Failing to be indoctrinated does not make one ignorant. To the contrary, it's the indoctrination that makes one ignorant. And what could be more ignorant than thinking that your home town would be improved by an influx of foreigners?

No, I'm just stating facts in defense of a poor woman who is being attacked by racists.

Any cause you bring to defend these comments will just themselves be tarnished.

WTF is wrong with this person? What kind of a person can even come up with such a sentence let alone be able to publicly say it? Fire this idiot from office and make it an example to anyone who's of that mindset.

Loved that comment about checking the calendar to make sure this is 2019. Seriously, some "fine folks" need to keep up with the times.

Why? There's no argument that there's anything wrong with anything she said.

He did? Well then I'm glad he's paying for it. That is just wrong. No public servant should ever be biased to a race or ethnicity. No one who says things like "chocolate city" or "white city" should ever run for any kind of office.

I realize there is a minority that simple cannot take it that the world has moved on and everyone is equal now. Such people should not run for office.
