Wait. CNN says orange man good? This has to be a first.

Quote:
the United States has naively looked the other way while China cheated its way to an unfair advantage in the international trade market. It took a long time to get to this point, and it's not going to turn around overnight. But with President Donald Trump's long-term approach to trade policy, the United States is in a good position to make up for the misguided policies of the past, which resulted in millions of lost jobs and thousands of shuttered

A bad day or a bad week on Wall Street is not an indication that Trump's policy is failing. Market volatility is neither a surprise nor a reason to head for the lifeboats. The markets are going to react and fluctuate as the United States and China go back and forth in trade negotiations.

They like Bill Maher probably want to see our economy go in the wrong direction, and hope a trade war might trigger it to do so.
Thus helping the Democrats chances in 2020.

CNN and most other MSM have already shown their massive bias in favor of the Democrats and disdain for Republicans. That is even more evident with their bias against Trump.

It''s like some folks don't understand what an opinion piece is. The last sentence in what notnamed quoted is what you need to digest. CNN gave the man an avenue to share *his* opinion.

Trade war = 2 countries stand facing each other, then take turns shooting each other in the groin until one "wins". If u can call that winning...

Pompeo said on August 23 2019 that he's going to ensure that the USA president speaks to the Chinese Ruler about the two Canadians who were detained after Canada detained the Huawei daughter en-route to Mexico on behalf of the USA. Then Trump said something about releasing the daughter if China would negotiate better tariffs. That created a problem for Canada regarding USA political intervention in a criminal case.

What a mess. Trump assured the Prime Minister of Canada that he spoke to China about the two detained Canadians on behalf of Huawei, but it's certain that he lied to Canada about international diplomacy.

It's a trade war over cyber technology, Huawei and promises of no backdoor access.

China is so far ahead of the global economy in facial recognition and identifiable characteristics that betray intent.

I do not get something. Bad China does not play fair meaning it is not satisfied with keeping all the waste in China in exchange for the peanuts American outsources are willing to pay to Chinese peasants. Bad China demands and steals technology etc., bad China increases business risks and expenses of American outsourcers, and yet they stand in line to capitalize on labor arbitrage. Good China does not steal and asks for nothing, it keeps all the waste and works its peasants for cheap on American behalf. Good China does everything it can to minimize the risks of American businesses on its soil. The question is - how much longer the line of American outsourcers would be under those conditions? I thought Trump wants to bring jobs back and instead he wages tariff war to send more jobs to China.

Such fine points of the issue are beyond the level of the right-wing elements here to be able to discern.
