Rather than trying to make sense out of nonsense ... can you just cut right to it and tell me: Did you have some point to all that rambling???

Some people enter a conversation with another person by actually responding to what the other person said rather than rambling about some weird off the wall thing that I just pulled out of my backside. But fine. I'll play along: Sad for you that your chances of winning gold in Judo in the 2020 Olympics practically non-existent. Oh and a monkey is absolutely not your uncle and your toes are not cabbages!

There you go. Random. Pointless. Stupid. And most importantly, it's got absolutely nothing to do with anything you said. Checkmate!!

The new left constantly works towards a Harrison Bergeron future.
To believe in equality of opportunity (to climb up parasitic ladder) in a socially/wealth etc. segregated country with entrenched money&family interests... you have to believe in Santa too. This pie in the sky right wing bs is too outrageous to discuss. But even assuming a well leveled field for the race, some border line psychopathic personality types are natural ladder climbers. An average person that "works hard, yadda, yadda " stands no chance.

To give an analogy. entire right wing ideology revolves around necessity to convince special ed students somewhere in rural Mississippi that they have a chance against seasoned athletes from elite NE prep schools . And so far right wingers succeeding. Special ed students believe they are a few steps away from joining the elite fleecing class thus there is no sense to cut in the future profits by fixing a roof in their Mississippi school.

As much sense as your rambling about evil Marxists that had to bend people to their will to push their agenda. Funny you believe that hierarchy of wealth, power and ownership you take for granted just appeared from nowhere bloodlessly and effortlessly. An upwardly mobile tribesman just pointed his finger at formerly tribal land and said, "that is mine, and you owe me." and everybody believed him just because. That is some amazing belief considering that you live on the land cleansed from the people who had different ideas about ownership, fairness and social organization.

One of the definitions of "progressive" is "favoring or implementing social reform or new, liberal ideas". That seems to fit their professed agenda fairly well. It's a bit like calling Republicans "conservative", meaning "holding to traditional attitudes and values and cautious about change or innovation, typically in relation to politics or religion". I see nothing particularly incorrect about either label.

That's a lot of rambling to never make a point.
The only discernable correlation you made is that treating people equally is "right wing bs".

Treating equally how? Who treats equally whom? How can you treat equally people who would never share a toilet seat with you? People climb the ladder to have an advantage and unequal treatment for many generations to come. Otherwise what's the point? When a HS swimming team will be treated equally with Olympic champions it is easy to guess an outcome, not for you though. You need to believe in an improbable miracle to keep your hopeful peasant worldview together.

It'll get ugly if these people get their hands on real political power. It won't look much different than the 100+ million innocent civilians massacred in peacetime that Marxism racked up in the 1900's. The core reason that Marxism kills so damn many people is simple: a. You've got to do something with the giant swath of society that says, "Thanks but no thanks." to what your pedaling. Basically, you gotta kill everyone who is not enthusiastically on board with your utopian nonsense. b. When you forcibly make everyone equal then nobody has any sense of motivation since doing nothing nets them the same result and working their ass off.
I agree progressives which make up a large part of the democrats are best described as Marxist of the Frankfort school, critical theory. They are just like the old Marxist except with the added tactic and probably motive of racism and hate for white western people and culture.

The thought in question was the belief in equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome.

This has nothing to do with toilet seats or any of your other nonsense rambling. The unintelligible assumption about my "peasant worldview" adds an interesting bit of confusion to attempting to decipher your post, however.

Please clarify whatever point you are trying to make.

Equality of opportunity in a super unequal society. You must believe in Santa to believe in that. How do you imagine equality of opportunity in the midst of inequality? Are inner city kids equal with elite private school preppies just because they can apply to the same universities?

You must believe nonsensical things to keep together your worldview of a hopeful peasant, a peasant putting up with a lot of bs in an exchange for a flickering hope to join the fleecing classes whose progeny are destined for cushy corporate jobs and fat investment portfolios, rain or shine, if desired they can convert cash and family connections in power. Funny you talk equal opportunity and meritocracy when the stable genius is our president, and absolute poster child for American meritocracy and equality of opportunity - Bush Ii was our President for 8 years.
