We're not a democracy.

We've never been a democracy

We're a Representative Constitutional Republic.

Trumps mode of operation. Fabricate an emergency then claim only be can fix it.

It's similar to the claims and hoaxes on go fund me and other web scams.

Trump is the master scammer. He has half the country believing his lies which is remarkable considering how blatant they are.

Every economist knows one of Chinas biggest fears is if American companies left their country. Itís merely a scare tactic. Trump isnít forcing companies to do anything, Lol.
So is China aware that this is simply a scare tactic?

Nike's are manufactured in China, Vietnam, and Indonesia. They are not inexpensive today. How much would they cost if they were manufactured in the USA paying workers American wages; not even mentioning Operational Costs in the States?

A product has to be profitable or the company will go out of business. Again, where is American Apparel Company today? Want to pay $50 for a T-Shirt just because it is manufactured in the USA?

They are now. Today at the G7 meeting Trump backed off on his threat to force companies out of China, but then his own staff said he was mistaken, that the threats are still valid. Who is running this country anyway?

Are you an economist?

Right now China is not exhibiting any 'fear' of anything.

In fact they challenged the USA.

Trump had backed down from tariffs that were to be added in September. China could have just sat back and quietly said and done nothing, pretending to be interested in negotiating......made nice with the Trumpster.

Instead they woke up one day and slapped on significant tariffs on American goods. They poked the bear so to speak.

I'm not an economist (although was an economics major) BUT none of CHina's behaviour suggested they are afraid of anything.

It is clear that Trump struggles to communicate clearly.

I don't believe for one minute he meant to suggest he was backing down from his tweet rant about American companies in China, trading with China, etc.

It really is crazy when he can't even communicate the simplest idea accurately.

BUT...reality ---- China seems determined to fight this trade war out. They have shown no interest in backing down.
