Yes. And if you don't agree, why don't you move and live in the culture you prefer?

It would be helpful for someone to define "Western Culture". Are we talking European culture? Is South America and Central America included in that, they are in the west and most are decendents of Spain or Portugal both countries of the West and Europe.

Is the USA really Western Culture or something on its own? I believe the USA is different all together and shares basic concepts with the rest of the world. But culturally the USA is nothing like any other country, even things we share like religion are completely different. Why are so many in the USA always trying to tie American culture to Europe which is nothing like us outside of veryyyyyyy broad strokes?

I have no Idea what definition of "The West" that professor was using but from this thread it seems to only mean White and European. Seems like a sorry way to side step saying "White is best" without saying it outright. Dog whistle is so loud it belongs at a Metallica concert. Hiding behind code is weak.

^^^ This is the kind of thing no thoughtful person with an honest desire to learn about and understand the world would say. But somehow, through various means of indoctrination in media... maybe a college class or two, people get the idea that this is how the cool kids think.

Absolutely, turn off your reflection, and pull the plow, don't ever think why you pull it, what for and what damages you inflict, don't pay any attention to anything and anybody (who cannot assist), just pull the plow and you'll be rewarded by farmers with better feed...maybe. At least we agree on something

USA put individualism in overdrive, trashed already weak social cohesion of the Nothern Europeans, blessed the elites to work the peasants without any social responsibility concerns, or any concerns not covered by laws for that matter and a new nation was born. Naturally this reduced consciousness entity was more efficient at converting natural resources and labor in wealth.

I'll grant that. Unfortunately that doesn't translate into moral and ethical leadership.
The West is always trying to improve itself, and now holds the majority of the most welcoming and open societies in the world. That's an inarguable fact.

Doesn't translate into moral and ethical leadership? That'd almost be offensive if it weren't so untrue.

Openness (strictly superficial) and all the improvements correlate with enhanced technological capabilities of the West. It is definitely not because of some cosmic consciousness shifts. The west no longer needs to plunder and enslave in person, it can entice 2nd, 3rd world corrupt elites to plunder their countries on Western behalf. Collective West concentrates on undermining livability of this Planet to propel its unsustainable social and economic institutions.

Let's go through your list of sins and see if they have been (or are) in any way pertinent to the East.

Wanna start with slavery? Nah, too obvious and easy.

We can go to racial discrimination instead. How about the Dalits in India?
