I'm sure the kidnapper, rapist did see it as protecting her from other kidnapper, rapists.

Both times, with both of them naked from the waist down? Geez, there was a witness, video and the police were called and it still was not enough.

He benefited from his popularity in the community.

The defense team claims cleaves was protecting the woman. I guess the jury believed them.
