Neoliberal politicians have also created the ripe conditions for asylum seekers in the US to work there even if it illegal and live there, such as big businesses attracted to hiring them due to they are willing to work on much less pay compared to Americans. Also if you are a struggling farmer and have limited resources to afford to pay people labour, then they can easily hire illegals to do the work. This method has been widely practiced for many, many years

The Democrats as I have read are not for open borders, Democrats as a group are divided on aslyum seekers entering the USA, just as the Republicans are. Even the most radical Democrats will concede that the United States has the right to preserve its sovereignty and protect its borders. They may have strong ideas about the best way to do that, but no one wants to just fling open the doors and let in the whole world.

However, it is the Democrats that are encouraging illegal immigration by promising amnesty, free healthcare, college tuition, promoting sanctuary cities and crying like babies over illegals being deported that have not yet been "convicted" of a crime such as felony ID theft. What does that equate to?

We have a set criteria for allowing asylum seekers into our country and 90% of them don't meet that criteria so tough cookies they shouldn't be able to enter our country and reside here and we have every right to stop them and I don't give a hoot about the so-called chaos in their countries nor who supposedly created it.

If a farmer can't afford to use the unlimited visas for legal workers then they need to go out of business as they have no lawful right to hire illegal aliens and pass their enormous social costs on to the taxpayer.

That link provided is nothing but biased, lying BS! FAIR has provided their sources and how they derived at their figures. They even included the $19 billion that illegal aliens do contribute in taxes. Illegal immigration is a net negative to our society. Besides, shouldn't the only thing that matters is that they are here illegally and must be deported according to our laws regardless of their fiscal costs or supposed gains? Lefty liberals and ethnocentrics don't care about that bottom line though. Why is that?

The wealthy elite liberal types in this country can lecture all day about walls not working and anyone with common sense knows that it's a step in a series that can mitigate the flow on some level. Nancy Pelosi can lecture us and say that border walls are immoral, all while behind the safety of their expensive wall lined homes.

Well, most illegal immigrants today fly into the US on a tourist visa or student visa and overstay their visa and it has been that way for some years now. Even if the border continues to be built it will continue to do so.

The Obama administration deported more illegals than Trump. However, the Obama administration strived to bring a path to citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants who grew up in the USA.

The US has a problem with not enough workers, and it will increase in time as the baby boomers retire. The US needs immigrants to fill in the labor shortage. The illegals are working in industries where there is a shortage of workers. Taking away those jobs from those illegals will cause further labor shortage.

Even if that were true what does it matter? The wall addresses the border jumpers. The visa over stayers will just have to be dealt with in a different way? We shouldn't address both issues? Huh?

No, your claims have been debunked many times. Obama counted those turned around at the border as deportations. He also told Homeland Security not to deport any illegal aliens unless they were "convicted" criminals. He by EO implemented DACA and DAPA which gave millions of illegal aliens a stay of deportation along with work permits. His deportation record was dismal.

No one should be awarded our citizenship just because their parents managed to get them over our border illegally. It's rewarding their parents and those brought over our border illegally are benefiting from it. The whole family needs to go back to their homeland and apply to come back legally as legal immigrants do. No jumping ahead of the line.

Not this BS that we don't have enough American workers again???? If we truly had a shortage of workers wouldn't we allow more legal immigrants to come here? Illegal immigration for any reason is unacceptable! There is no shortage of American workers just employers who want to increase their profits from cheap, illegal workers. Again, why not answer the question? If we truly have a shortage of American workers then why haven't we increased our legal immigration quotas to fill them? The answer is obvious at this time there is no real shortage of workers just greedy employers who don't want to pay a fair wage.

Well a child that is born in the US is American regardless of if their parents came here legally or not (only exceptions are foreign diplomats). Those babies born here cannot be deported. It is in the 14th Amendment. Until the 14th Amendment is changed all future children born in the US wherever if they come illegal or not, are Americans.

Trump is unable to change it, and it is up to the courts to decide.

No, they aren't according to the wording of the 14th Amendment and it has been described why in numerous posts in here.

Yes, the Supreme Court needs to address this issue ASAP because the current PC policy only that deems them birthright citizens is making a mockery out of our citizenship and our Constitution.

What wording is that, specifically?

Are illegal immigrants not "subject to the jurisdiction" of the United States? They obviously are, since they can be (and have been) arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced based on our laws. Diplomats, as an example, are not subject to the jurisdiction of the US, they cannot be arrested, tried, convicted or sentenced - they can only be expelled. Thus, any children born to them would NOT be citizens of the United States.
