Change the age is way to go. Its way too early! IMO, SS should set full retirement at life expectancy less 5 years, with an auto reset every decade based on same criteria.

There has probably never been a president as bad as Trump that tells so many lies, flip flops, and con jobs.

T is a puppet of the Republican Party. They've been wanting to cut so called entitlements since when? I remember Ryan getting a gleeful expression and joy in his eyes whenever he mentioned cutting SS. Hard to say where T stands anymore on anything, though. He does 360's every day.

I guess you've never heard of Ron Paul.

They will never attack the cost of healthcare because the Pharma and Insurance Lobbyists give billions to politicians to keep it that way. You need to cut the head off the snake (lobbyists) before you can fix the problem.

Politicians attacking the high cost of healthcare is them attacking the hand that feeds them.

^^^^^THIS! Most States have UNFUNDED public pension liabilities due to way out of market salaries, benefits and pensions for government employees. The Feds just run up the deficit an debt more each year. It needs to stop, and personnel cuts across every level of government need to take place.

I've paid huge amounts into Social Security and Medicare my entire career. I should get my money back with interest!

Another thread that is nothing but a complete lie.

The deranged Trump haters keep pushing lies because it's all they have.

Stop believing democrat socialist propaganda!!!!!! Ryan nor any other republican is going to push granny off a cliff.

It makes perfect sense to change the rules and will only impact those whose career has barely started.

Stop the propaganda induced hysteria!

Don't vote for trump, enjoy being taxed to pay for illegal aliens medical coverage, housing, legal fees and education. You are the benefactor to all the free stuff Trump's opponents have promised to deliver.
So as usual, attack the young and poor while the ones that rode the gravy train get off scott free.

SS and Medicare are federal insurance programs. Premiums ( Payroll Taxes) are not refundable.

A Congress and a likeminded POTUS could abolish both the SS and Medicare insurance programs and not refund a cent of Payroll Taxes paid over the years.

The revolts in the streets would make Hong Kong look like child’s play.

I don’t know why anyone jumps to the conclusion, that SS and/ or Medicare will be gutted, whenever a Republican talks reform.

Having said this, it makes no sense for Republicans to be vague and in doing so, allow speculation.
