Well, that wraps it up. I think we got to the bottom of this thread.

I love how folks intentionally confuse the issue.
If not for their billions there would be virtually no GOP as we know it today...in power. Period.

One can say "this and that", but the bottom line is that the GOP sold their party to the Kochs, the NRA, Russians and/or any willing buyers.

I just love how Bentbow says "they funded hillary's campaign" -
"DAVID KOCH’S MOST SIGNIFICANT LEGACY IS THE ELECTION OF DONALD TRUMP"

They have inserted themselves into each and every state - and even many towns. They own think tanks, news medial, astroturf groups, lobbying shops and much more.

But the old excuse comes out "they are all the same".

No, they are not. The GOP has done 99% of what the Kochs told them too. They introduced 100's of pieces of legislation which the KOCHS WROTE...and passed it. (ALEC).

Trying to pass the Kochs off as "liberals" is just a bridge too far.

maybe not so much "libertarian" as John Birch Society...Koch father and sons were JBS...as was Barry Goldwater till the JBS founder got in trouble for calling IKE a communist....Barry then disavowed his JBS membership

JBS was all about conspiracies and anti-communism..there are videos on the inter-webs featuring JBS alumni where they refer to "collectivism" and lump socialism, communism AND fascism together..alex jones says trump is more john birch than the JBS was lol....

like a lot of people who espose political rhetoric...some of the JBS stuff makes sense...but the overall JBS platform is too radical for most

the posters on THIS forum who call the left fascists and everybody communists are legacy JBS people

The time honored statement....plenty of stuff Hitler and Stalin did made perfect sense!

But we never should forgot the single over-riding reason for the modern right wing in this country - it was about Resource Extraction and not wanting to pay taxes and being allowed to pollute all you like, etc. - mostly about Texas.

It's about lack of responsibility - and anti-Democratic - and appeals to a lot of Fundamentalists.

I'm sure some of what Charlie Manson said made sense.

The fact that all this propaganda has made it this far is testament to our country not being Of The People but rather of the Billionaires who spread false ideals.

Long story short, without Texas Money the Fundamentalist Right Wing in this country....as we know...would not exist. That doesn't mean there would not be any...but the real money and spreading of this fundamentalist/oil/anti-tax/pro-pollution world view wouldn't have taken root to anywhere near the same degree.

LOL
@
"GUNPOINT"

Yet can't describe a scenario or name one person that is ever fell victim to the tyranny of America's gunpoint tax collection system

LOL

... the taxman steadily puts the muzzle of his 40 caliber pistol to the skull of the poor innocent Citizen and states "you shall now pay your taxes or die"

The poor unfortunate Citizen trembles in fear looking up at the statist enslaver and says "please sir I have no money to pay my taxes at this point"

without the blink of an eye the statist slave master pulls the trigger and renders the citizens skull into tiny fragments falling upon the floor

the jack-booted Thug tax collector slave master looks into the camera and laughs as he has claimed yet another victim for failure to pay taxes hahaha hahaha

He steadily holsters his firearm in preparation to murder the next victim in his reign of tyranny for failure to pay their taxes

(Evil laugh)

I Wonder What proportion of right-wing corporate propaganda is funded by the Koch brothers and Sheldon Adelson??
