I can't wait for the cultural zeitgeist to die down. White progressive folks don't want equality but create a world of equity for black and brown people. White progressives. You should have gave black and brown people equity 50 to 80 years ago. Now that equality has failed, now all apologetic white progressives not true white liberals want to do equity. What took you guys so long?

Read his last sentence carefully. " high acheiving families of new york". I got what he means. Its not the white conservatives.

The only way to escape segregation is through economic progression. Schools can go a long way to enable the students, but it will involve other societal efforts and most importantly personal/family involvement and sacrifices.

This is true. In NYC from what I know especially in the black American neighborhoods that mainly exist in NYC housing projects. Housing projects housed mainly by black Americans have poor family structure. While other black cohorts like black Caribbean, black latinos and black Africans have higher rates of going to college than the black Americans in NYC. From what I know. This stems from poor parenting of African Americans vs parenting of closely knit immigrant group like Nigerians and Caribbeans.

Instead of putting on responsibility on self. The black and brown community has to put blame on white supremacy for thier failures. Don't get me wrong. Whites did benefit from money given too them by government for housing, as well as gi bill. The United States government made things Lal equal a generation later in the 1960s. After 50 years equality didn't work for black brown and native people. My thing is this. If Nigerians and Caribbeans can excel in education. Why black Americans can't? Is it white supremacy fault? Or do we need equity to make things right for black and brown Americans in the name of education?
