The Nordic countries aren't socialist. They are 'social democracies.' Venezuela is socialist, or at least has been since 1998 when Chavez was first elected. 'Social Democracy' and 'Democratic socialist' are two entirely different philosophies. They are further apart than American liberalism and American conservatism. Further apart than apples and oranges, which at least are both fruits.

If you think my country, Sweden, is socialist, you don't understand the meaning of socialism.
You can find similar quotes from the former Prime Minister of Denmark. Just do a search right here on CD.

While there is a major difference between Latin American third world socialism and the kind of socialism you practice in the Nordic countries they are much more similar than a psudodemocratic system where big money interests control the government thru legalized bribery and all elections are not democratic

A la...USA

The united state allows corporations to give unlimited "gifts" to law and policy makers

In your country they use democracy to elect leaders and have high taxes that cover critical human services like
fire police EMS Parks and Rec food safety infrastructure and health services among other critical human services

In modern America we are in freefall under corporate tyranny

Our leaders are nothing more than corporate prostitutes who can "win" an election with 22% of the democratic vote

I have lived in 7 countries in my lifetime

I find it simulating and worthy of study

you have to travel the world to find someone so foolish that they literally oppose A strong centralized democratically-elected government...

In modern America
(post corporate spokesman Regan) they are everywhere

I've noticed that. Everything negative about him is fake news. The Chosen One, LOL. The one I would chose that would most likely to lie right to your face. And then he gets pi**ed if called on it. Narcissists dont like being caught.

Spew all the gibberish you wish, and live in all the countries you wish, you are still incorrect.

The Nordic countries are not 'socialist.' They do not meet the basic definition. See the quote from the Danish Prime Minister, who chided Bernie Sanders for continually referring to Denmark as 'socialist.'

Or watch the 1 minute video I posted from the Swedish historian, which you obviously didn't bother to view.

We're talking about how the Socialist policies of Asian education dominated American crony capitalism

you can cherry pick examples of how the most privileged Nordic people suggest they are not the same as a third world socialists all you want but the fact is Nordic countries have heavily socialized critical Human Services

That's probably why they are so much more educated than Americans
(just like Asians)

EDUCATION IN SWEEDEN:

"From the age of one, children can be admitted to preschool. Preschool is free for poorer families and heavily subsidized for everyone else"

"The majority of schools in Sweden are municipally run, but there are also autonomous and publicly funded schools, known as independent schools"

"The higher education system is compatible with the rest of Europe through the Bologna Process where degrees are divided into 3 cycles, basic level, advanced level and doctoral level. There are two degrees available in each cycle of different lengths. Universities have no tuition fees and student aid is available from the government"
