The individualism embraced by these younger generations is anathema to the Democrats.

The future doesn't look so bad, after all.

All that I know is this: Pay CEO's more, and shut up. They are the rockstars and everyone else should be thankful they grace everyone else with their genius, while they destroy good companies and leave with the loot.

This is pretty much the mentality of modern day American Capitalism. No, it's not the result of "over-regulation", it's the result of the general mindset of upper level executives.

Dems were the ones fighting for individuals. Against a party that wanted to stop things like women and gay rights aswell as tell women what to do with their bodies.

I think it's inevitable at some point the people pushing socialism will win. Young people are embracing it more and more. As older people die off and the younger ones start replacing their votes I think it might take another couple of election cycles but it's coming. I hope I'm wrong.

I think out current system/economy lead to this. But I don’t think a purely socialist society is good.

A Miami Cuban who supports socialism is like a Jew who supports Hitler.

Brexit is a problem that arose from the UK wanting to isolate themselves from immigration and has little to do with socialism.

The yellow vests were protesting against a carbon tax which also has nothing to do with socialism.

I am not pro-socialism at all but it isn't clear to me that EU's problems are from social programs. China, the most socialist country in the world, has a GDP growth that is 3x what the US has, and this has been true for years.
