Oh well, instead of paying the debt off they pay it for the rest of their lives (even if they don't go to college)

Elizabeth Warren was paid $400K to teach one college class (while lying about being a Native American). And now she wants the taxpayers to bail out the scam system. She is part of the problem.

I mean the US govt will give you a loan with 0 assets and 0 down for over $200k......Of course they will you will be paying them back your entire life. Its just a way for the US govt to get paid. Penn State went from $50k for 4 years in state in 2000 today its $200k. You can't blame colleges, they know tons of kids can't pay but can get a loan so they sink all their profits into facilities and sports programs. Once the govt stops loans, the money dries up, colleges will be forced to be competitive.

Some cry about free college in Canada and Europe and that's fine. They are nothing like big state schools in the US, there is no sports programs, fancy dorms and fitness centers and I agree a Univ should just be a Univ but the US is way beyond that and there is no going back. Drive around UM...all you see is athletic fields for about every sport.

What she never does is address the problem. Ok, there is $1 trillion in student loan debt already...but it keeps growing. She just gonna stop the system? No she can't she just wants millennial votes. Tomorrow someone else will just add another loan to the pile.

Whats crazy is the Univ of Phoenix's business plan was to grow at a rate of an Ohio State every year....Thats like $50k....Now I think the US and for profits schools committed fraud and the schools should issue a refund. Their degrees are useless, committed false advertising and took advantage of people.

Warren and others are selling the same empty promise that the student loan forgiveness scams do.

They're not going to do it, but people are desperate and frankly they aren't that smart based upon empirical evidence.
