The Great Student-Loan Scam

...
Congress created these nifty plans in 2012 for new borrowers, but then the Obama Administration expanded them retroactively to reduce defaults, buy off millennial voters and disguise the cost of its student-loan takeover. This may be the biggest accounting fraud in history....

It may not be a new subject. Can you give us a hint about whether it's about fraud, or interest rates, or government policy, or a stagnant economy, or what?

These days outside of a few select areas of study, the entire higher education system is a scam. Just wait until the taxpayers are on the hook for a large-scale bailout with all of these worthless degrees that are being printed.

The real scandal is the cost, but nobody ever writes about that.

This is why we need Elizabeth Warren. All the rest of them are in the pockets of the bankers, CEOs, oligarchs, crooks and and criminals. It is one never-ending scheme from them to fleece working people. She is not perfect, but she is the best friend of the forgotten that's running on either side. If the CEOs hate you then you know you are the side of righteousness.

Speak for yourself.

There's no greater crook than someone who thinks that everyone is "college material," and that, if they can't afford higher education, then taxpayers should foot the bill.

Not everyone is college material of course, but many poor people out there with great GPA's and test scores...shouldn't be denied higher education opportunities due to cost. Can do it cheaply too by community college first 2 years, then an inexpensive state public college last 2 years.

An educated society is a better society.
