A majority accepted the trade war but I don’t have any faith that they know what the are doing and he never really explained the downside to the public.

You don’t. That’s the reality of all of this tariff war or not they are not coming back. One of the principals of business is buy low sale high. Bringing companies back would raise the cost of said items. And I would assume it would be the same for those places who turn To automation as well.

You don't. But it made great snake oil for trump to get elected so he could give himself and his corporate swamp cronies a huuuuge tax cut we have to pay for with debt

Sen. Lindsey Graham acknowledged on Sunday that Americans would have to “accept the pain” caused by the Trump administration’s trade war with China, but argued the U.S. maintains the advantage.

“The Democrats for years have been claiming that China should be stood up to. Now, Trump is, and we've just got to accept the pain that comes with standing up to China,” the South Carolina Republican said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “How do you get China to change without creating some pain on them and us? I don't know.”

Us?? Whose us?
He will lose in 2020. I'm pretty sure, unless he figures out a way to cheat the system. A lot of Republicans have cheated to steal elections, so there are no guarantees - but this man has corrupted his soul, starting back in the Clinton years when he participated in a hypocritical power grab. He is a closeted gay who pretends to be a good ol' southern boy and he has lined his pockets with cash. I think the people of South Carolina are probably onto his disgusting hypocrisy by now.
