LOL, "huge deal". You know you wont notice any difference whatsoever from this "huge deal" with Japan. Just like with Mexico.

As long as you support the destruction of the labor union movement and continue to vote for people who take bribe money from the billionaire class, the working class will never recover.

You're a prime example of why Bernie has such a well established and delusional base.

The problem is that no matter what any Democrat does, you will say he or she caves, while any deal Trump makes with the Chinese is bound to be the best deal ever. You know you'll sing Trump's praises if there is a deal with China, just like with Mexico.

2.5% tariff on cars to allow 7 billion dollars worth of goods in.

Japan was happy to sign that deal.

It was an easy deal for them to make.

Since you dont have any counterarguments, its a pretty good sign that you're wrong.

Just name one society that has created a thriving middle class with destroyed labor unions.

Trump has said himself that the goal of the trade war is to prevent China from surpassing US GDP. The trade war is not about what you think it is. This means China has to deliberately stay poor for a deal to be made. Do you think any country would accept that?
You think China is poor? They have crushed us over the last 30 years, it is not sustainable to have $500 billion annual trade deficits. Iím not sure but it seems you have no problem with it, should we let them continue to raid us in trade and steal our IP until they are become the dominant world superpower. Maybe you should listen to senator Schumer on this.

China doesnít want to continue being the worlds factory, they want to be a factory for Chinese owned high tech companies. They are stealing high tech IP with plans to have Chinese owned companies producing that high tech to render American companies useless. One example of this is Huawei which has copied Apple. China is very jealous of our high tech companies and we have to protect them. They are in an economical war with the US, we just have never fought back.

DEALS serve both parties.

So far none of the 'deals' the USA has made has crushed the other guy or really meant a big change in international trade for the USA.

Nothing wrong with the deal s- they are fine...but nothing substantial.

Yes, the average wage in China is 10% of the typical American wage.

China has a GDP per capita lower than Mexico. China is a poor country.

Trump has clearly said that the goal of the trade war is to prevent China from surpassing US GDP, which means China MUST deliberately stay poor in order to reach a deal. Thats why Trump is advocating for manufacturing to move to countries with worse labor rights. lower wages and worse IP protection than China. Its not to protect the American worker or IP rights.

No country will accept a deal that forces the country to stay poor. Other developed countries have a trade surplus with China and no trade war or massive tariffs. Perhaps you should look at other factors for the destruction of the working class. You clearly think that the American economy is "crushed" so I assume you think the unemployment figures are also fake news?

I know those are the current DNC talking points, but these tariffs are hurting China, badly. And if companies continue to cease doing business in China in favor of doing business elsewhere, China faces serious threats financially, militarily, and socially.

The financial threat of companies stopping doing business in a country are clear.

Socially, the fewer companies doing business in China, the more people are out of work, etc. One of the reasons for the relative social stability within China is the good economy and economic progress, which has seen hundreds of millions of people be lifted out of poverty in the last few decades. Any threat to this system is a cause for social unrest and disorder.

Militarily, China relies on the funds generated from businesses operating in country to fund its military and expansionist ideas in the South China Sea and beyond.

China has a lot of reasons to want to resolve this quickly. While the US does, too, its not as lopsided as you would have it seem.
