Shrug. If Brazil wants our help they can ask for it or tell us what exactly help looks like to them.I'm not sure that the G-7 meeting is the correct venue to ask for that help.

Don't give them too much credit. Many, if not most people are incapable of independent thought. All they have to fall back on is parroted talking points.

I kind of agree with you. G7 exists mostly to discuss the world economy.

But whether folks are climate change believers or deniers, the Amazon burning is a very big problem, one that will impact the entire planet if it continues to burn.

While I agree that the G7 might not be the right venue for it, with most of the world's biggest power players in one room, it's something they should probably have made time to address.

Sad to see that Trump had no interest and missed this meeting. I don't think any of us are surprised by that, though.

Where in the Constitution does it say it's the Presidents job to help fix something that isn't in America? Bad enough the progressives want to run Americans lives, worse hen they want us involved in running other nations.

Didn't some big lawsuit just end ? That land was wanted for something but they lost the lawsuit and it was to be returned to the indigenous people that had lived there. Thought I read that somewhere.

Well that's it . They could have used a bit of time to say ok lets set up a meeting with Brazil to see what assistance they need. You wouldn't need a special meeting during the G-7 for that.

Do the math yourself...

The globe has 39,000,000 km2 of forest area, the Amazon is made up of 4,776,980 km2. How much of it is currently on fire ?

Maybe we can't do anything but we'll be expected to kick in a couple billion dollars to help Brazil. That's their ***** about missing the meeting.
