His point is that the misinformed and uneducated people are the ones that continue to support Trump. The left is extreme as well, but not as bas as the current Trump supporters.

You probably need to get out more. The kids and boomers in my orbit are well aware of the world they live in and how it got that way.

And they are debt free.

I think location plays a big part. If you're in MN, you're going to have well educated and informed people. If you're in Ohio, you're going to have the opposite.

And yes, lack of education is a huge issue in this country.

Yeah when large groups of people have issues with education that's when we end up with Trump supporters. It's not surprising though, the way they abhor education. In my opinion they deserve to be stupid.

Just come out & say it. You don't like people calling you out for being a bigot or sexist. You lost the confederate war. I'm sorry you can't have slaves anymore & fly your confederate flag on your car. Things are changing for the better.

Funny you used the term "pull yourself up by your bootstraps." Because the term means it's impossible. You can't actually pull yourself up by your straps.
Many millennials are working several jobs & more than 40 hours a week to try to make ends meet. They work more hours & much harder than previous generations, & yet still can't get out of debt or afford a house, because their situation is wrecked thanks to previous generations poor management of resources & greediness. Today's youth simply don't have the opportunity that my generation had.

What BS. Everyone has access to college aid now and financial aid is available in a variety of sources. Of course not all of it is free (Pell). If you're not eligible for Pell, you're making too much money, but you'll still qualify for student loans. Furthermore, one can always go into the military and receive GI Bill. There's no reason your children or grandchildren had less "access" to college aid.

So many comments by Millennials seem to be based on poor education. I see this all the time with grand kid and grand kid's friends (almost 20 years old and highschool grads)

Simple things cannot be answered because of ignorance

Things lik,e what is Socialism? What is Capitalism? What is the Bill of Rights?

When I try to answer, "I don't know anything!"
Must be your family or circle of friends, I do not see that.

I see you posted the same article/study about 5 times, so let me address it.

They didn't even have the PIAAC test a decade ago prior to the 2013 Millennial testing group, so I'd question the legitimacy of trying to compare the 2013 PIAAC results with the previous group from 10 years prior (again, who didn't even take the test).

In regards to the rest of the results, it's no surprise to anybody the U.S. lags behind many countries in the world in education. What do you expect when education here is an afterthought? And we don't even pay our teachers here a livable wage, & teachers are often ridiculed online & in person. The teachers in the countries who scored well are esteemed, & society in general looks up to them unlike here in the U.S.

Many are also not good at living within their means. I'd like to see some proof that they work harder than previous generations.

I often wonder why older generations disparage younger generations. Millenials are the children of gen xers or the tail end of the baby boomers. SO if they are so bad shouldn't we be blaming the parents generation?
