Actually, the least educated and low-income (they're correlated) overwhelmingly vote Dem. Everyone knows that the left preys on the poor and under-educated. Dems promise them the moon and bribe them with public assistance benefits paid for by others to get their votes.

The Democratic Party is not socialist. That's nonsense. Capitalism is alive and well in both major parties, and among millennials.

You're spittin' against the wind if you think you are going to change the minds of millennials, who clearly see what is around them, and are young enough to have hope for change. For one thing: CLIMATE CHANGE affects them far more than it affects you. As long as there is this small group of people in the world, who have America by the ya-ya right now, that has ignorant people convinced there is no human involvement in climate change, or that humans can't slow it down, millennials will not vote for them.

You're an old coot. You have forgotten what it's like to be hopeful and want a better America. No climate change, no mercury in the fish, no war, no President who is a pathological liar and is mean and petty and vengeful, fairness in taxes, access to health care like all other First World countries, capitalism with a secure safety net for those who need it (like all other First World countries), etc.

But don't despair. They typically don't vote reliably in large numbers. If they did, a pathological liar and moron wouldn't be in the White House.

They didn't even have the PIAAC test a decade ago prior to the 2013 Millennial testing group, so I'd question the legitimacy of trying to compare the 2013 PIAAC results with the previous group from 10 years prior (again, who didn't even take the test).
Quoting from the Washington Post article discussing the ETS study of the PIAAC results:

"The ETS study noted that a decade ago the skill level of American adults was judged mediocre. “Now it is below even that.” So Millennials are falling even further behind."

In regards to the rest of the results, it's no surprise to anybody the U.S. lags behind many countries in the world in education. What do you expect when education here is an afterthought? And we don't even pay our teachers here a livable wage, & teachers are often ridiculed online & in person. The teachers in the countries who scored well are esteemed, & society in general looks up to them unlike here in the U.S.
The US spends more on education than any other country.

And our public school system sucks. How do we know? The NAEP longitudinal results. Less than half of students are proficient in Reading or Math by 12th grade.

NAEP Results

CLIMATE CHANGE is wealth and more importantly INCOME redistribution. The Climate changes NATURALLY, and always will. We aren't going to stop that with massive Carbon Taxes, and destructive income redistribution to Government. Millennials are realizing that, but they have to fight the brainwashing and indoctrination they've received in Union Run, (Democrat) schools.

Nobody wants pollution. We've addressed that.

Trump has helped to create an environment of success for Millennials. Just look at the unemployment rate, price of gasoline, housing markets, etc.

BS.

Your post is an example of how detached from reality the ignorant Trumpers are. Buh-bye in 2020, when sanity reigns again. Just say no...to fascism and those who tell the public not to read, not to listen to the news, not to read scientific articles...only pay attention to THEM (the leader of whom is said by a professor to be one of the stupidest students he ever had).

Please take a moment to look at the other side of the ledger. Trillion dollar Budget Deficits as far as the eye can see, and a ballooning National Debt. Trumps Tax Cut and Spend Fiscal Policy is a Tax on future earnings.

Default Elected officials should use their regulatory authority to modify capitalism so it can evolve.

Very informative article:

https://www.thebalance.com/late-stag...ending-4172369

"This fits the vision of capitalism laid out by the Founding Fathers in the U.S. Constitution. It protects private property and innovation through copyrights. It also prohibits the government from taking property without due process. But it allows the government to promote the general welfare. Our Founding Fathers charged the government with protecting the American Dream. It should defend the rights of all to pursue their idea of happiness. It's the government's role to create a level playing field to allow that to happen."

It used to be that both sides of the political spectrum supported this concept. Now it's just the stupid kids and and radical left? What changed? Too many brown people "replacing" us?

Some want us to think climate change is all about money going from fossil fuel producers and users.

They have never considered the cost of complacency. And the cost of ignoring it.

I believe they have considered the cost. But they care more about the loss of profits NOW. They think the rest of the world, and half the citizens in this country, will somehow fix it, when it gets so bad that the Rain Forest is burning. Oops....did I say "Rain Forest burning"?

Millennials are way better informed than boomers and older generations. It’s almost exclusively older people who can’t tell the difference between actual news and fake news.
