I guess you're right. The Republicans do protect the unborn. Once you are born watch out. Hell the Koch brothers are against child labor laws, and Lord knows that they are not Democrats. They also destroyed the labor movement in the private sector then poison my water and air with no compensation to me.
The Democrats on the other hand keep people on Welfare for generations. They also embraced globalization with no regard for the working man.
So, I figure that when it comes down to it the democrats are less malignant, completely disorganized, but less malignant. With the exception of the Roosevelt administration, government hasn't done anything good for the working man since the prior Roosevelt. Maybe it's their inability to get anything done that makes the Dems. better.

Late-stage capitalism kinda sucks for a whole lot of people. And every single time someone has suggested a way to improve society at large at the cost of keeping some billionaire from adding a fraction of a percentage to his net worth, you've called it socialism.

If security in receiving health care, or an old age that bears thinking about, or decent family leave, or livable minimum wage - all of it things implemented in other Western countries - are socialism, then heck yes, bring it on.

Yes. Exactly. Any safety net is derided as 'socialist' by the very same people currently collecting Medicare, SS, and SSD.
The younger generation is willing to give CEO's a bit less of a yearly bonus or perhaps stop feeding our industrial military machine and look out for THE PEOPLE for once.

Same here. I used to be a gun-toting libertarian. I became more and more progressive/democrat over time.
Same thing happened to my parents. They were moderate democrats, maybe even conservative leaning, when I was growing up. Now they are hardcore leftists. They're more passionately against Trump than I even am.

So many comments by Millennials seem to be based on poor education. I see this all the time with grand kid and grand kid's friends (almost 20 years old and highschool grads)

I picked up the values that make me a so-called liberal in kindergarten. We all did but many tossed that by the wayside into adulthood. As for the rest, most of what I know I learned after I graduated high school. College, life experience, and of course life-long learning as you describe all contributed to that. It took time. I'm not too worried about the Millennials or the GenZ's. They seemed to have retained those lessons of human decency from kindergarten much better than my boomer generation did. They will learn the "isms" as life progresses.
This thread title sounds like the title for a comedy movie and the SJWs would be the best part of the film! Heck, the historical revisionism and SJW mentalities can further help distort people from knowing the truth.

There is no question that ignorance is a big problem, and with many millennials, I see enough disturbing YouTube videos exposing what is of grave concern to our country's future. It's my most fervent prayer that those kids will grow up and learn some things and have a change of heart, but it all starts with them. Somebody in their lives needs to stand in the gap for them, or they will be in the wilderness for life.
Let them create their own world.!! One thing I am really appalled with the right is their control issues ! Darn !
