People complain about the negativity that millennials face but fail to see the scope of the damage they are doing to our nation. It is millennials that are challenging the core beliefs that our nation has held since it’s founding 243 years ago. For those of us older than 40 it is difficult to understand Americans who would challenge capitalism, freedom of speech (yes that is what PC is all about) Christianity, and the constitution in general. Their replacement would be socialism, hate speech laws and a secularist society where dissent is punishable. Baby boomers and Gen Xers are old enough to remember the Soviet Union and the Cold War and we recognize what the millennials values mean and where it can all lead. I remember when President Reagan called the Soviet Union an “evil empire”. He was right. Now we have young Americans who want to bring that type of totalitarian government to us. Reagan is spinning in his grave, so is every other Cold War era president....including patriotic democrats like Kennedy and Truman. Back then the difference between the “D” and “R” was so much less and we all agreed that capitalism and freedom were our way and socialism was their way. The millennials brought alien values to our mainstream and they have divided the nation in a dangerous way. They have taken over one of our major political parties and have received legitimacy for their radical values because they control the Democratic Party. Socialism and totalitarian government is NOT what the Democratic Party traditionally stood for, it is so sad that they have successfully radicalized one of our 2 political parties. The legacy of the millennials may end up being that of bearing responsibility for igniting a civil war in this nation. By now even they must know that large parts of this nation will never live under anyone’s boot. I firmly believe they do not understand the ramifications of their actions.
The right are the ones stuck in the past. We pretty much have to explain things to them in crayon. And theyed still claim “hoax”..
Stuck in the past? Please explain. The Constitution is from the past should we just toss it away to please you so-called progressives who think the past is just awful in every way? I have news for you drug use has increased, crime has increased, refusal to honor all of laws (including our immigration laws), fewer good paying jobs, declining of morality, overcrowded conditions and more depletions of our natural and social resources are a change from the past. Are these good changes?

"Stuck in the past" has a different meaning to many of us. The "past" is not necessarily an evil thing if it's based upon strong commitment to family and strong worth ethic which are two guiding principals that put this country on the map.
So it's not that we are "stuck in the past", we have a mindset of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Simply a difference in opinions at work

Im not stuck in it, but I sure remember it. You learn from that. The bad things can also repeat themselves if not corrected. He now have a leader that is leading us down the wrong path.
