The U.S. is not the only country going crazy.

And not everyone is happy about it.

It is ridiculous.

I work in real estate and continuing education is a requirement. I took a class on advertising to the real estate market and it was ridiculous like this gender stereotyping ban on commercials. The instructor told us to be careful when we write up descriptions of our listings because something as simple as house with a view maybe offensive to people that are blind and you had better think twice before writing "walk to beach" because some people cannot walk and they will be offended.

At the end of the class we all left thinking that to avoid possible problems and potential litigation our ads will now read simply "house".

It is getting ridiculous out there.

God forbid a woman is shown “engaged in a stereotypical care-giving role." What an awful thing.

Good to know that ours isn’t the only country losing its collective mind. Bad to realize that attempts to make this particular nonsense make its way to over here will probably be coming soon, if it hasn’t already started happening.

It is getting completely asinine with some of this BS. It's so hard to just not say F everyone and F your feelings. Toughen up if you can't deal with everything in life, it isn't all about you. A room with a view isn't singling out a blind individual. Walking to the beach isn't making fun of those that can't. It's like there are people out there that just look for things to be offended by. It's so tiring.

That's ludicrous. If someone is offended by anything like that you don't want them as a customer anyway, they will just be problems.

Yep and you wouldn't want those types of people as a customer anyway, they will just find all sorts of things to be offended or complain about.

Something that an SJW might take into account is this: if you are fine with the independent woman image, you should be fine with the idea that there are some women who prefer the housewife image.

Not all bad....

They, like most of the world, ban advertising of prescription meds directly to consumers. With the exception of NZ and the US, the rest of the world is blissfully oblivious to “ ask your doctor what ABC can do for you”

Nothing shall be allowed to impinge upon the profitability of big pharma. Even hinting at it is heresy. They are sending over a few "representatives" to "explain" things.
