The cited article states "The Amazon produces a lot of oxygen but it uses the same amount of oxygen through respiration so it’s a wash.” while supplying nothing factual in support of what at this point is the writer's opinion, nothing more.

And to state 'Everything they say about the Amazon is wrong' is hyperbolic nonsense, nothing more.'

Did Trump contribute to that article?

Someday when you start paying for bottled oxygen like you pay for bottled water now, I hope you remember this.

Yeah because <20% loss of oxygen generation, which will never happen anyway, will cause everyone to be walking around in space suits. Man, the fear mongering and over the top analogies from the Left are entertaining. It's a clear window in the insane minds of today's leftists.

I've never met or even heard of anybody who dismisses climate change.

There are so many facts to dismiss AGW that it would take a lifetime to explain them all to you.

That's because fear mongering is all they have.

So it actually turns out that most of the fires are burning on farm land that has already been cleared. They do this ALL THE TIME to clear it out for next year's crops. The other fires are the burning of piled up previously deforested debris.

Scientists studying satellite image data from the fires in the Amazon rain forest said that most of the fires are burning on agricultural land where the forest had already been cleared.

It's time to put this hoax to bed.

You're fixated on this "Lungs of the World".

Its simple. The Amazon is a HUGE oxygen producing region all year round. Its jungles thrive on Carbon Dioxide they use to live as if breathing.

The Lungs the Amazon aids are OURS and animals. It helps to maintains the world's oxygen/Carbon Dioxide balance faaaar more then arid regions or closer to the Artic regions with winters that shut down the process.

Once it's gone ..... it's gone forever. Like a Coral reef is. We can only recreate limited likenesses. As the Amazon burns away. So do species we have not even documented, animals to insects and plantlife.

But seems that is going to happen over next few years. This is meant to create rhetoric going. It is not rocket science to get this Lungs comment/phrase.

Sounds like a wonderful business opportunity in liberal cities. As Barnum said, “There’s a sucker born every minute.”

Dude, give it up, the entire Amazon burning story is a hoax. It's not what's being reported. The untouched forests are not burning.
