The world elite need to fly down there in their private jets and tell those impoverished people not to develop their country.

Most of the fires are from farmers clear burning their land getting ready for next years crops. It happens every year. They better be going down there to tell them that they can't eat either.

Yes, then they can fly their jets to Aspen for a week of skiing, destroying our Colorado forests, mountains and wildlife habitat and using excess water and energy. Maybe they’ll put a number sticker on their jets to feel good.

Scientific American has a pretty good article about the impact of the Amazon burning on the world's oxygen supply:

https://www.scientificamerican.com/a...n-expert-says/

"In sum, Brazil’s reversal on protecting the Amazon does not meaningfully threaten atmospheric oxygen. Even a huge increase in forest fires would produce changes in oxygen that are difficult to measure. There’s enough oxygen in the air to last for millions of years, and the amount is set by geology rather than land use."

The author is Professor Scott Denning of CSU.

That cleared it up for me at least.

...one of the world’s leading Amazon forest experts, Dan Nepstad, had to say about the “lungs” claim.

“It’s [bs],” he said. “There’s no science behind that. The Amazon produces a lot of oxygen but it uses the same amount of oxygen through respiration so it’s a wash.”
Most of those in Hollyweird didn't even make it beyond high school - but for some reason think that they are experts on everything. Why does anyone listen to these fools?

We have only to look at our own history of moving westward .... to know YES IT CAN HAPPEN OVER DECADES.

Once our prairie regions and Great Plains. Were covered with faaar more lush forest. Settlers used the timber and burned thru other area for the farmland we have today.

Think of it as GUN CONTROL ND BANNINGS. Ultra-Conservatives believe once you ban certain kinds starts ...... EVENTUALLY IT WILL GROW TO ALL GUNS .....

THIS everything from ice cover depletion to jungle-burning is a hoax....

Don't believe the hype. You're being lied to ON PURPOSE and you're letting it happen.

The President of Brazil. Sure went on the defensive to the G7 offer. NOT WANTED. His agenda will continue whether depleting more of the Amazon is his aim and has been ongoing for decades.

If increased much more. It clearly will be noted. I guest NASA got into the hoax.... Trump needs to fire someone......

LMAO, you'd better tell NASA that their satellites are wrong then. Because they show nothing of what is being claimed.

Oh, I've heard them all, many times over. They are all bunk.
