lol Yea lets listen to you on what is moral. You're the one using the "moral" force of government to get what you want.

Only to the children who need government to run their life.

I guess that 9th baby didn't pull themselves up by their bootstraps hard enough, otherwise they would have been able to afford their healthcare. Or not be born with a congenital defect.

Being poor is a moral weakness. That's the America I love.
Duffy isn't poor, and when he does go back to work, it will be to a decent job with benefits.

And for the rest of his life, he will still have to worry about paying for his daughter's problems. Her health care costs could likely impact his other children too.

Imagine if he were actually poor.

Duffy is just the latest example. This is a common theme with Republicans, they oppose it until they need it, then they silently line up to take it. No empathy for others, just hypocritical greed for their own benefit.

Yeah, Duffy will be fine. I was more replying to the poster who suggested that everyone who can't afford to pay for health insurance is a beggar. Let them eat cake, etc.

Children need access to medical care to live.

Quote:
1 in 19 children were uninsured in 2017—more than 3.9 million. Poor children and children of color have worse access to healthcare and worse outcomes than their higher-income, white counterparts.
Fortunately, government programs have helped millions of children gain access to medical care when the private run healthcare system didn't give a damn about them!

Quote:
Thanks in large part to Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and the Affordable Care Act (ACA), 95 percent of all children in America have health coverage.
