Arabic does not use the 'v' consonant. The only words in "Arabic" that have a "v" are loan words and the v is pronounced f.

So how can it be phonetic?

Do you know anyone that speaks Arabic? Ask them. This explanation is nonsense.

Heck go to one of the translator pages of your choice and play the audio sample.
