I'd call Fox "fake news" or perhaps "Faux news" but I keep hearing that anyone that does that is a fascist and destroying the press.

Wrong.

Disney did not buy all of the television and film assets of 21st Century Fox.

The assets that Disney did not buy were spun off into a new company called Fox Corporation.

This new Fox Corporation's assets include:

Fox Broadcasting Company
Fox Television Stations
Fox News
Fox Business Network
Fox Sports (the national operations)

...and others.

This new Fox Corporation is controlled by the Murdoch family.

I've been wondering the same thing.

Nobody -- not even a conservative, a Republican can criticize Trump. It's not allowed

My point was just that.

Cavuto did not suddenly change his world view. It is what it was...and now because it doesn't line up with Trump -- all of a sudden he is some slave to the liberals.

The kool-aid is strong.
Of course we having no way of knowing for sure, but I think part of it might be that Rupert's sons Lachlan and James have increasing influence, and they are more liberal/less conservative than their father.

Fascism is supporting a leader or country no matter what wrong-doing needs to be ignored. You figure it out from there...

Or as Fielding Mellish put it, "It's a travesty of a mockery of a sham of a mockery of a travesty of two mockeries of a sham."

That’s respect for Fox News from me. I wonder how their affiliations like Bill O Riley, Tucker, etc feel about this.
Yep, I think that is another factor, along with James and Lachlan's increasing influence, and other factors.

Trump, on the other hand, goes totally off the reservation on a regular basis, and it is simply too challenging to try and defend what is often just indefensible or nonsensical. Eventually even FOX News cannot formulate a cohesive strategy of spin to cover the tracks of Trump, unlike George W. Bush (and every Republican President before him.)
There haven't been any other Republican Presidents for Fox News to form a cohesive strategy of spin to cover the tracks of.

The last Republican President before Bush 43 and Trump was Bush 41, and Fox News didn't exist when Bush 41 was President.
