Yes the word is that it totally caught him off guard and he had to scramble to even put together the rudiments of a transition team. With all of his really unhinged tweets of late I am wondering if he is trying to sabotage his own reelection so he can go back to what he likes to do - be a back-bench bomb thrower that never leads, just criticizes the guy in office.
Hey there -- i wasn't being serious. My tone was sarcastic.
My point was just that.
Cavuto did not suddenly change his world view. It is what it was...and now because it doesn't line up with Trump -- all of a sudden he is some slave to the liberals.
The kool-aid is strong.
Of course we having no way of knowing for sure, but I think part of it might be that Rupert's sons Lachlan and James have increasing influence, and they are more liberal/less conservative than their father.
Fox News understands that the Trump train as gone off the tracks and they are getting off the train. I did like how he pointed out that the economy wasn’t bad under Obama, something that we all knew wasn’t true.
That’s respect for Fox News from me. I wonder how their affiliations like Bill O Riley, Tucker, etc feel about this.
Yep, I think that is another factor, along with James and Lachlan's increasing influence, and other factors.
The truth is, FOX will lie, spin, and distort the news to favor whatever Republican is in office, but most Republican Presidents, even a blithering idiot like George W. Bush, have a team of handlers to add plausible deniability to all of their misdeeds and their kowtowing to Wall Street.
Trump, on the other hand, goes totally off the reservation on a regular basis, and it is simply too challenging to try and defend what is often just indefensible or nonsensical. Eventually even FOX News cannot formulate a cohesive strategy of spin to cover the tracks of Trump, unlike George W. Bush (and every Republican President before him.)
There haven't been any other Republican Presidents for Fox News to form a cohesive strategy of spin to cover the tracks of.
The last Republican President before Bush 43 and Trump was Bush 41, and Fox News didn't exist when Bush 41 was President.
