Everyone is so excited about the new meatless meat but when you think about the processing it takes to make something look and taste like something else is that something you want to put in your body?
Has anyone consulted the food scientist Michelle Obama? She did amazing things for school cafeterias across the country..... NOT... I wonder how she feels about the meatless meat movement??
I can see it now: the cartels smuggling ribeyes and baby back ribs. Truckers bootlegging beef, lamb and pork from the Rio Grande.

The meatless patties are processed which is the downside, but overall they are still better than red meat because you cut out the animal fats. Don’t forget that heart disease is the number one killer of Americans and a diet high in saturated fats is a contributor.
John Mackey told CNBC on Wednesday that plant-based meat substitutes are good for the environment but not for your health, echoing concerns that have been raised by dieticians and nutritionists in recent weeks.
"If you look at the ingredients, they are super-highly processed foods," Mackey told CNBC. "I don't think eating highly processed foods is healthy. I think people thrive on eating whole foods."
He added: "As for health, I will not endorse that, and that is about as big a criticism that I will do in public."

As plant-based-meat options have become more widely available in recent months, critics have begun to question the health benefits of these products. Many of the plant-based meat alternatives are highly processed and include coconut oil, an ingredient known to have loads of saturated fat.

Then again I really don't care.
I question the nutritional value of food manipulated and processed over and over again.
I would rather eat meat and have cows born and raised and live than never seeing a cow again.
There's some really convoluted logic in that. Love it!
