This article was April of 2018, before the $24 billion in bribes/subsidies to soybean farmers.

So not sure where they get off bad mouthing others for getting free health insurance.
Yeah, "Socialism" is when SOMEBODY ELSE gets support from the government.
The fact is NO GROUP of folks EVER turns away help from the government when THEY need it, but they feel plenty inclined to gripe when SOMEONE ELSE needs/takes help. That's because human beings tend to be selfish creatures - Republicans most of all.

Suck it up buttercup.

You sound as insensitive as Sonny Perdue. The farmers booed him, you know. Perhaps you are channeling Sen Graham, though, he too is willing to throw the farmers under the bus. Tsk Tsk. Tsk.

As a former eastern North Dakota resident (and one who still knows folks who live there) yeah I do know a bit about it.

And yeah, farms can be worth millions, but it also costs millions to operate them, Ask Trump about going bankrupt when you own millions. The number of yearly farm bankruptcies NOW is higher than during the Great Recession.
And if YOU knew anything about it, YOU'D KNOW THAT.

"...Over the 12 months ending in June 2018, 84 farm operations in Ninth District states had filed for chapter 12 bankruptcy protection—more than twice the level seen in June 2014 (Chart 1)...."

As current Montana resident no one here has remotely come close to going bankrupt.

No farm foreclosures in the state? I seriously doubt that.

Montana IS one of the better off farm states and has had 1 farm bankruptcy in 2018 and 8 in 2017. That compares with 14 in 2010 and 6 in 2009. Wisconsin is has far more. It has the largest share by a wide margin.
Play with the graph and see the numbers for yourself.

Of course Montana received nearly $400 million in farn subsidies in 2018
