Good, she won't have to worry about being a teacher any longer. Glad the school administration took action and fired her. She has no business being a teacher, she has no compassion, and is self absorbed.
Oh look, another sensationalist headline. What difference does it make if the kid is in a wheelchair? According to the ex-teacher ragging on the student, the student didn't want to go on a field trip and acted up so that she wouldn't have to go. That has nothing to do with her being in a wheelchair. Any student who did that should not be talked about by the ex teacher on her stupid Instagram. If she wants to vent, vent to other teachers in the teacher's lounge, not on social media.
Her actions were inappropriate and violated privacy laws, regardless of child’s situation. She did cover the child’s face but she is still most likely identifiable to students, if not most community members. That can, and should, get a teacher canned.
On another note, she should be happy to spend the day with just one student instead of being on a field trip, she can get a lot of planning, grading, and other work done.

When I first read the thread title, I thought this was a case of a teacher mocking someone for being disabled. Regardless, the teacher's behavior is completely unacceptable and I'm glad she's out of the job. I'd say that I am shocked that an adult would behave this way, but when I factor in some of the childish comments I read from members on this site, that wouldn't be a fair statement.
Being in special education requires a TON of patience. (I did it, either full or part time for six years, plus I had a special needs brother and adopted two special needs kids.) Either people are suited for that kind of work, or they're not. Too bad she didn't discover that she was not one of those people before she decided to make it her career.
And, btw, I am certainly no "saint" (of course!) and there were MANY times I became angry, irritated and/or impatient, but not to the point that the teacher in this post did.
P.S. Of course, it is okay to vent if no one is harmed in any way by it, but this is one more reason I have a gripe about that kind of social media. Too many opportunities for people to be impulsive and show that they can be unthinking narcissistic idiots.
