CNN and corporate media in general are interested in two things: Earning money and promoting oligarchy. Have they failed or succeeded in that? This is the question you have to ask yourself.

^^^^^ Absolutely pathetic. The President's widwl feewings are more important than NOAA meteorologists being able to do their jobs properly.

Trump isn't disconnected from reality.

There were reports that showed Dorian possibly scraping AL which would have meant tropical force winds beyond the cone shown on the map. And that's what he said...…..they might get some wind or something like that.

For whatever reason he reported that past its shelf life. We don't know the reason because as usual THE PRESS DID NOT DO THEIR JOB. Their only goal was to make him look bad.

Then without knowing the reason they doubled down and went on a tirade about dementia, golf, lack of briefings, ignorance of geography etc.

Is that the sort of journalism you would approve if you were an editor?

Wouldn't the first thing you did as an editor be to tell the stupid reporter to go back and find out why the WH/NWS were issuing conflicting info?
There is absolutely ZERO evidence, of reports, that Alabama would be affected by Dorian. Trump lied, one out of the over 12,000 now that he's told, while in office. Then he doubled down on his lie by drawing a cone around alabama to support his lie. Something a 5 year old might do. Trump is in fact disconnected from reality, but he isn't the only one.

I would suspect it's not about earning money. CNN has anemic ratings and pays their anchors millions of $$$, and has a sizable presence around the world. I suspect if they weren't part of Time Warner, they would already be out of business or make drastic changes. People who have stake in media do it primarily to influence opinion - now if that can get them money in some other way, it's a double win.

I think its both. Obsessing about Trump give them more publicity than not and preserving oligarchy is what Time Warner is about. Thats why they must keep the people frightened, hateful and divided. Notice how they'll always ignore or dismiss people who are not funded by the super rich.

It's easy to troll CNN because they are consumed with hate.
