Trump owned three branches of gov't and SCOTUS for a couple of years. Didn't accomplish ****.....can't even get a wall up. Only reinforces/fixes the one we already have. LMAO.

Did you whine when Obama "owned three branches of government" during the first 2 years of his first term and didn't get his precious amnesty for illegals passed? Or was that different to you, considering you hold double standards?

Trump didn't have a super majority in either house --- same as Obama

Why are you beating a dead horse? It has been explained on and on ad nauseum as to how Mexico will be paying. Yet here you are, repeating the same nonsense.

What part of his consistency, in trying every way possible to get the wall (fence, barrier) built throughout his presidency did you miss? President Trump did not just away this week suddenly realize the next election is a year ~ away. What part of the many efforts to get the illegal immigration crisis at our Southern border did you miss?

No, steadfast and persistent is more like it, his entire time in office.

Here's another link of what happened that only 36 miles of the good double walls were built back in 2006 while the rest was not built according to original specs. Doesn't change the fact that the wall was not built according to original specs and was needed to be effective. Trump is trying to fix now so the effective walls we were promised in the first place are built. Why do the lefty liberals have a problem with that when the good walls already in place have been very effective? Just what is their motive? Inquiring minds want to know.

Exactly, but these lefty liberals never blinked an eye when the actual wall bill passed back in 2006 and it was soley to be the taxpayer to fund it. Suddenly it's an issue that Mexico pay for it and right up front instead of through tariffs?

Spare us the fake patriotism and concern. It is well known the defense budget is bloated, that it can be managed better. If 760,000 apprehensions of illegals in ten months is not enough of national defense issue, then very little is. Or, are we going back to the left's pre-midterms meme of this being a "manufactured" crisis?

Then I'm sure we'll get lots of lawsuits about the constitutionality of his redirection of defense budget monies. Oh, we've already been down that road, haven't we?

Dangerous precedent that may come back to bite conservatives

There was no such bill, push, promise, initiative or even a hint that something like that was being planned, and in that case the answer is probably no, - no one complained.
