I can tell you this, there wasn't 30,000 murders attributed to guns either. Love it when Leftist try to sneak in Suicides as murder. No threat to me or anyone else if a person wants to check out early via Suicide, whether it's guns, pills, or jumping off a bridge. Their not called Lying Leftist for nothing.

Sorry - murder and suicide are not the same thing. Lumping the two together is what is shameful.

And I'd like to see a red flag background check on all alcohol purchases. If you've gotten a DUI, you can't legally purchase alcohol.

The gun crowd is looking at this wrong, actually. We already limit who can buy alcohol. You have to be 21, older in many cases than you have to be to buy a gun which does not make any sense to me. We also have laws against driving drunk and had a huge push to get more laws on the books from folks like MADD. Drunk driving has gone down over the years as a result. Most people who drink too much and get behind a wheel of a car wrongly thing they are fine to drive.
These guys who shoot up people at random pick up a gun for one reason, to kill. That's it.
