Could have been but that didn't qualify as Manson did have direct influence.

Dead on with that one. But if you think you will change any minds here you are dreaming. This place is the training ground for 8-chan and 4-chan. The only way they can substantiate their insane views is by construing all media and all reporting as "fake news". Otherwise, their bizarro world comes crashing down.

You're the only one saying all media and all reporting is fake news. It's childish and reminds me of those who lied about what Trump said in Charlottesville

Here?....most of these dudes are in Barco-Loungers. I want one myself, but can't stand paying that much for a chair.

The avg. age here has to trend 10-20 years older than the population of adults (in general). Maybe more.

Maybe someday one of the mods will do a google analytics on the Politics Forum......and see what the guesses are???

What is direct influence?

Do you mean like threats Jones himself made to lawyers and judges? Or death threats his listeners made to MANY others?

Some loser from deep dark WV (Manson) singing Helter Skelter seems tame compared.

It looks like Karma is finally repaying Alex Jones for his disgusting commentary on Sandy Hook (insinuating that the shooting was a “false flag”). Furthermore, Jones was caught deleting evidence relevant to the case in an attempt to weaken the plaintiff’s case.

What comes around, goes around, eh, Mr. Jones?
Isn't Evidence Tampering a felony, even if this is a civil case?

A while back someone did an age survey thread on here, median age was like 60-70ish iirc. So yea, this is a good place to catch up on the latest conspiracy theories circulating around the retirement home.

This should be a fun topic to keep up with as Jones crashes and burns and his dupe followers have to invent more and more rediculous nonsense to try to continue to preserve their delusions.

"Infliction of Emotional Distress" is a thing. Furthermore, Defamation of Character and Slander are things, too. It hurts people because accusations of major dishonesties are a serious impediment to your reputation, which can hurt your job opportunities and community standing (and if the charge is extreme enough, put their life at risk). Verbal cruelty's well known to inflict emotional distress as well.

Like it or not, the old school way of trivializing cruelty by making the victim's reaction the issue and not the perpetrator's behavior are fast coming to a close -- and I welcome it.

There were similar conspiracies posted about 911, claiming the mourners were actually actors and that the buildings were actually empty and 911 was a hoax. These claims, once adopted by believers are deeply hurtful to those who lost friends and family members in both 911 and at Sandy Hook. And Alex knew it wasn't true. In one statement he tried to back pedal and claim it was just show business. In the case of holocaust deniers and 911 deniers there's enough info to the contrary that a reasonable person can judge for themselves. But the victims of Sandy Hook were a small community without the means and numbers to fight back until this lawsuit. Personally I hope Alex loses every cent he ever made and then some.
