I agree that if someone is not comfortable with who they are, they shouldn't be condemned for that or for seeking a solution that might work for them.

Preventing people from being born gay I have mixed feelings about. If there's nothing wrong with being gay - why would you need to prevent people from being born that way?

Yes, and if the world becomes too overpopulated, it may well become possible to prevent people from being born with the tendency to become straight too. Right?

Arguably there are lots of things "wrong" (I don't mean in the moral sense) with being gay. If, as seems likely, techniques are one day developed that allow parents to prevent their babies from being born with gay tendencies, shouldn't they be allowed?

No doubt that will one day become fashionable among the woke. Girls will tweet about how they'll never have a straight baby.

I don't know how it can be avoided. When the tech becomes available, people will use it.

Then you end up going down the road of unintended consequences like with China’s one child policy favoring boys. What’s wrong with choosing a baby’s sex? Hair color? Eye color? Baldness? Height? Etc.

There is nothing wrong with being gay. If you have a problem with it then that’s on you. Why not change your mindset

Not a fan of messing with this stuff unless it's to prevent disease, disfigurement, etc.

Even that can suffer from unintended consequences as it’s not like a light switch. The genes involved also play into other traits.

Plus parents of children with something like Down’s Syndrome go out of their way to say they would not change them. Which you have to wonder how much of that is denial.
