I actually agree with this even though is an older generation's belief. The older people at my church used to say this was the reason why society keeps getting worse as time goes by, that people are turning away from God and the values in the Bible.
Of all the things to worry about, this is the least of my worries because it will never happen. There are too many laws in place, and every year the percentage of Christians in the U.S. decreases.
But the fundamentalists are becoming more and more extreme and totalitarian and right now, they are winning.
There's a difference between learning about different religions, and being taught that one religion is the right one and all the others are wrong. No public schools in the United States are teaching that Islam is the one and true religion.
Based off of this curriculum, there should be concern. If they are going to teach some of the basics of Islam, they need to do all the other religions also.
But the fundamentalists are becoming more and more extreme and totalitarian and right now, they are winning.
I think the reason you might have the perception that they are winning is because of Trump and Fox News. (That is just my opinion, of course.)
The extreme left has proven that if a group is vocal enough, people might think they are "mightier" than they actually are -- this is also my opinion, of course.

Where did I say I was livid? I said "many parents were livid". I was concerned (actually addressed it with the school's principal). Teaching kids about Muhammad being a prophet and those who convert to the Islam religion and not teaching about other religions where archaeological dig has proven some events in the Bible to be true. Is not ok.
I've always wondered about the foot bath thing....and when I think about it...it really grosses me out
