Odds are your right but there are things that did happen in our country that should of never of happened. It’s best to know the signs and do something about it then ignore them.

and before you start, there are court hearings after court hearings of high school grads having to see a judge in order to get permission to hold ceremonial prayers.
some Constitutional amendments have gotten pushed too far and this is one of them.
Where did I say I was livid? I said "many parents were livid". I was concerned (actually addressed it with the school's principal). Teaching kids about Muhammad being a prophet and those who convert to the Islam religion and not teaching about other religions where archaeological dig has proven some events in the Bible to be true. Is not ok.
They didn't go into depth about Islam. And I would assume they do teach about other religions. They certainly did when I was in school.
Nothing in that "book" was an attempt to convert children to Islam or instructions about how to worship. What were these "many parents" livid about?
We already have privately funded Christian schools right up to the college and university level throughout this country. And of course this push is going on under the most godless President in American history. I don't think this will really happen but the Christian right just keeps pushing for a theocracy.
Neighbors, no one loves you like he loves you,
And no one cares like he cares.
Neighbors, let us join today in the holy love of God and money,
Because neighbors, no one loves you like He loves you.
And what better way to show your love than to dig deep into your pockets.
Dig real deep, until it hurts. Alleviate your guilt,
Free yourself once again, because he gave to you, brothers and sisters.
Please give a ten, twenty five, or fifty dollar tax-deductible donation,
And I assure you your modest pledge will be used to censor TV and radio,
Ban questionable books, and contribute to many other Godly services.
No longer will young Christian Americans hedonistically indulge
In masochistic submission to rhythmic music, for with your monetary support,
There is no end to what we can achieve in this country.
The voice of God is government.

I agree with you. I'm not sure why parents would be livid. Based on the first paragraph of the book the OP or whomever posted, the school just learned about Christianity and now they are learning about Islam.
"The Middle Ages (Unit 2) revealed a time in Western Europe
when the Christian Church slowly replaced the Roman Empire. You
learned about the extraordinary power of the Church and its complex
relationship with rulers and the nobility.
While Western Europe became Christian, other powers and ideas
arose in the rest of the former Roman Empire. In the East, a new
religion emerged: Islam..."
Your god doesn’t seem to powerful if it can be “forced” out of public schools.
