I feel deep sympathy for his loved ones.

He tried his hardest and fought for what he believed in.

People attacking him don't understand. They never do.

I don't understand when foreign aid money goes into mansions. That's quite right.

He tried, that is all anyone can do. He took care of himself, but overall that was a small portion of government spending. It may not have worked, and people like you who know never lived in Rhodesia can look down in despise.

But like the many others, he tried, and sometimes that is all we can ever do...

The trouble is the Rhodesia vs Zimbabwe had been turned into a meme like this one. https://me.me/i/rhodesia-circa-1950-...e25789e1cbe1c0

Btw, I wonder if his 2nd wife Grace Mugabe might had played a role in his attitude as well? Add to this, some comparos to Imelda Marcos don't help...

He took care of himself and his family. Isn't that what all Americans do?

Have you seen the millions of dollars presidents and political officials gain after leaving office through the revolving door. Lobbyists certainly have seen it and can attest to it.

As for the meme, a picture only tells part of the story.

Still may he rest in peace.

Yes but it would had been better if he had rejected the thesis of that old white male Karl Marx.

Does that mean then Mugabe's millions dollars don't count unless if it's Zimbabwean dollars?

It means he made money for his family, just like ever American citizen.

Rhodesia was a more simple economy, so people don't think like Americans, but Mugabe did. And so what?

He tried to help people at the start of his term, but a lot of forces colluded to stop that. So he gave up. He went on for a while clinging to power, and now Zimbabwe is trying to become the next China. Its pretty selfish how quickly they turned on him.

He tried. he took care of his family, and no he is died. Respect that.

As for Marx, you should look to corporate America and Walmart/Amazon/GE/Exxon/etc. They are far more Marxist than Mugabe with price control, labor value theory, concentration of capital, and wage distribution. They function like a big Marxist country.
