Jemele Hill is about as openly racist as one can get. I know the Atlantic leans left, but I'm surprised that they allow her such a platform.

Hence, the ONLY way you can resolve an inequality is VIA DISCRIMINATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If one of your legs is broken.....you have to discriminate in favor of the broken leg for it to heal and become approximately equal with the other leg. You can't say treat both legs the same and expect the broken leg to get well.

I did not follow the link and hence have not taken the time to read the article yet. However, my first thought is that these black athletes bring in Billions (collectively) to those institutions.....while black colleges and university struggle to stay viable. Note: Any race is free to go to a HISTORICALLY black college and or University.

White people say that blacks should solve the problems of blacks......after they tell us that they never owned any slaves. Well....what the hell do you think that looks like, meaning, what do you think that would look like when blacks start helping to lift up blacks? It will LOOK LIKE DISCRIMINATION. It will be discrimination because the only way you resolve the unequal status of blacks is for someone to discriminate to favor blacks. Since whites don't want to do that.....since they never owned any slaves.....and since they don't want one red cent of their hard earned tax dollars going to help......then black people have to take the lead by discriminating to promote things black.

Any object moved from its equilibrium, by a force, will require an equal and opposite force to restore the object to equilibrium. The logic abounds. You cannot correct an imbalance by treating the imbalanced entities the same. She might be a racist.....but she might also have the solution to the problems of blacks.

Whats wrong in my logic?
Occam's razr…….or maybe all races aren't inherently equal

Former ESPN host Jemele Hill -- now a staff writer for The Atlantic -- argues in her controversial first article for the magazine that black college athletes should leave predominantly white schools.

The article, titled, "It's Time for Black Athletes to Leave White Colleges," has drawn a range of responses -- including assertions that Hill is "pro-segregation" or even "racist."

Sounds like she favors Jim Crow segregation...fine with me.

There are entire threads where conservatives argue for the same thing.

I will take everyone seriously when they call the conservatives out for it.

I have no problem with this concept. If top talent black athletes want to help improve the sports programs of historically black colleges then good for them. It will also give opportunities for black athletes of less talent to get scholarships opportunities at more academically prestigious schools, due to the drain of top talent. Since they are less likely to go pro, they will benefit more from the degree than a top performer would.

Black Americans taking steps to improve themselves is a good thing. I hope at least a few of them take this racist b's advice.

show us the 'entire threads' where conservatives clamor for black athletes to leave predominantly white schools.

your failure to do so will reveal that you lied.

List them please, and let's review how many people called the idea out for being absurd.

Football and basketball generate millions for these schools with most being predominantly black. Why shouldn’t they take their resources to an HBCU?? Per the article, institutions were fine with keeping blacks out until they saw the west coast schools winning with black players.

I agree with you, TreasureFinder. College athletes in successful athletic programs - like University of Texas football - make untold profits for their universities, and their coaches are paid handsomely for it. Meanwhile, the athletes aren't allowed to benefit, at all. A recent (like maybe 4 years ago) article detailed the lives these men live, and it's spartan. Meanwhile, they're often injured for life during their 4 years serving the athletic department, and they have zero to show for it since not that many are picked up by professional teams.

I think deciding to pick up their marbles and go home might be the smartest move they could make. Game on, as they say.
