Well the rich all came together and decided the billion was not enough and made the world unaffordable- by jacking up the price of everything. the Chinese can make both cheapo stuff as well as 1/2 decent stuff for less forcing the middle n low class to buy their good. What ya gonna do? They created thier own mess

The fact is any nation China has property in could take it back if push came to shove.

The greatest benefactor from the trade deficits is the American consumer.

The American investor is a close second. Even trump admitted tariffs are a huge detriment to the stock markets.

I work for a wholly owned subsidiary of a Japanese corporation and they employ thousands of American workers. They also pay local, state and federal taxes.

The trade deficits help finance our Federal debt and maintain the dollar’s status as the world’s reserve currency.

We can start with the Trump supporters to stop buying Trump merchandise that are made in China.

China is buying up the world through a financial system fully backed by the west. Buying it in "the market". Later the west will take up China through war.

We consume a lot. We run trade deficits. Relax, trade deficits are good for the USA. It really hasn’t been that long since Milton Friedman was highly thought of by many of the conservatives on this forum.

Give it a few years. If a Dem gets in the WH the "conservatives" will start yapping about the Budget again.

True. Back in the old daze of hippies and philosophers...when we decided to live simply and eat veggie food and stuff, we noted "The USA is saying everyone can live like us, but if they ever tried the world will be in for a big hurting".....

That is, we were 5% of the world population using over 25% of the worlds resources and energy.

No more. And that's a good thing.

Our best moves, which - of course - we will not do, would be the same lessons I learned in business "Pay attention to your own business more instead of worrying about the competition...and that effort will be rewarded".

This, of course, requires a plan. Luckily for the USA a certain number of corporations and people are doing it - isolated to about 10-12 metro areas in the country.

The admin, meanwhile, is trying as hard as possible to ROLL BACK our advantages by making the economy less efficient - rolling back MPG, other efficiencies, cutting renewable programs and much more.

It's opposite world folks! We will recover from it since most of his BS is not law but edict. But the SCOTUS, conservative as it is now, may legalize excess pollution and poor efficiency, thereby setting us on a losing course for a couple generations.

Doing the right thing is not hard. It's win-win. But don't tell Trumpies that. They'd rather complain about the lost horse after it is already 150 miles out of the barn.

There is a certain irony of a govt. that condemns Chinese goods being led by a man who proudly sold his name to be put on Chinese goods.

This is America!!!!!

It's brilliant on China's part. Subsidize manufacturing, monopolize the worlds manufacturing market, rake in trillions through massive trade surpluses, purchase the world. No war required.
Keep it up buying your Chinese made garbage.
Im sure most of what it takes to post this topic has "Made in China" all over it.Eg where was the mouse/keyboard /monitor made, take a look.
