Around minute 55 or so, they get on these private gun transfers that currently do not require background checks.

Cruz gives two explanations for keeping those the way they way.

1- The statistics overwhelmingly show that they have virtually nothing to do with current crop of crimes that are committed. That was met wet concurrent whining about why can't we give it a try and use all avenues... which led to point #2...

2- If you mandate background checks in cases of private transfer, the next logical step from that would be to have a gun registry... and the gun registry is where the gun confiscations start. I think both Milano and the other guy knows this. It didn't seem to matter that these transfers have nothing to do with these crimes.

Who is Alyssa Milano and why is Cruz giving her 15 minutes of fame?

So it definitely was NOT a Cruz, Milano debate... as she said virtually nothing after her emotional dramatic monologue at the beginning. The main person debating was the man on the other side, to MIlao stated that he "does this all of the time". Sounds like a bait and switch to me.

Cruz had a few items of substance... Milano had drama at the beginning, The one guy had his emotional account of his daughter being killed. They didn't have much else to offer except repeated pleas to do something and have a bi-partisan solution. To me - who cares if it's bi-partisan - if the Cruz/Grassley bill works, does it matter if Democrats don't support it? I think the Milano crew would love gun confiscation - they just can't say it.

If you didn't watch it - you now have the highlights.

Too bad Cruz didn't ask her why the heck she has guns when she "suffers from mental illness"-- her own words.

Let's find out just how strongly she supports "Red Flag" laws...

Didn’t read the thread.

But who cares what an actress thinks? They typically have very low iq.

What’s next, taking advice from a cashier at Walmart??!
